The growing pollution sources of industrial production and the enhancement of people’s awareness of environmental protection,the natural and environment-friendly traditional plant dyeing process is back in the line of sight.As a kind of excellent national non-material cultural heritage,plant dyestuff is non-toxic harmless,strong antimicrobial properties,antianaphylaxis,and no carcinogenic function,therefore have more broad market prospect,we should pay attention to the inheritance and innovation,and continue to protect the value of modern design and life service,in the study of its traditional methods at the same time,combined with modern design innovation.Wool fabric is popular because of its noble and elegant style and natural and comfortable style.At the same time,the wool fabric excellent warmth retention property,resilience,breathable moisture permeability and the unique style make it occupy most of the market,the wool fabric printing and dyeing processing also gradually get attention.This thesis combines the theory with the actual development,colour aesthetic as the basis,to the plant dye is applied to wool fabric garment design analyzes the forms and the practical value of investigation and experiments.Firstly,the development of "plant dyeing" and the extraction method of dyeing liquor were summarized,and the aesthetic value and practical value of plant dyeing were analyzed,and its importance was clarified.Secondly,the characteristics of wool fabric are summarized,and the expression methods of plant dyeing and application are combined with traditional printing and dyeing,and dyeing experiments are carried out.Finally,the design and production of ready-to-wear garment are summarized.
