Study On The Application Of Water Ink Bird-and-flower Painting In Designer Brand

Chinese paintings with a long history,have been presented in diverse art forms.Ink paintings with flowers and birds are not only manifestations of long Chinese history,but also symbols of national spirit and artistic conceptions.They are established among world arts with unique aesthetic qualities and artistic characteristics.Ink paintings with flowers and birds,which have reached the artistic realm of “maintaining harmony with the nature” and “separating ego from things”,have become infinite design inspirations for modern fashion design.More and more of these paintings have been innovated and applied in designs.Exploring Chinese ink paintings with flowers and birds is helpful for contemporary artists of different fields to better inherit this old outstanding aesthetic art.Furthermore,costumes,as a kind of information carriers,can better transmit and promote traditional cultures,thus endowing modern designs with cultural connotations.Although there have been many studies about ink paintings with flowers and birds and their applications in fashion design,very few studies have been performed to examine the application of these paintings in designers' brands and put their conclusions in practices.Chinese ink paintings with flowers and birds are diversified and complete in terms of styles,composition,painting techniques and authors' conceptions.Designers' brands,with distinctive styles,highlight personality,originality and cluster-orientation.Therefore,it is helpful for better understanding “lifelikeness” and “integration of appearance with spirit” hidden behind the ink paintings with flowers and birds by analyzing expressions and applications of these paintings in designers' brands.Being important for designers to convey their design ideas and diversifying their sources of inspirations,these painting are of great use in clothing structures,materials and colors.In this study,materials about styles,composition,painting techniques and artistic conceptions of ink paintings with flowers and birds are collected.Besides,instances on designers' application of ink paintings with flowers and birds in their brands as design elements are explored and analyzed,in order to learn how to make artistic innovations on the basis of inheriting cultural spirits of these paintings.Furthermore,different patterns on ink paintings with flowers and birds are applied in the same kind of fabrics,and the same patterns are utilized in different types of fabrics to practise the conclusions in final designs,turn theories into practices and verify theories through practices.In this study,the author reaches following conclusions.Firstly,the re-design forms of elements of ink paintings with flowers and birds are related to personality of designers' brands.Secondly,fashionable designers' brands break through traditional unitary expression techniques of the ink paintings with flowers and birds.Thirdly,designers' brands are cultural,which deliver ethnic cultures and connotations to the audience.
