Analysis Scientometrics Of The Rise Of The Prize-Winning Chinese Chemists

Since the establishment of the International Wolff Prize in 1976,the number of Chinese chemists has been increasing.In the well-known chemistry prizes domestic and abroad,the number of Chinese chemists is increasing.It fully shows that except that the number of Chinese chemists is increasing,the quality of those is improving,which presents a unique phenomenon of the rise of Chinese chemists.The deep analysis on the essence of this phenomenon is significant for us to explore the law of talent training,the factors of talent growth,and the construction of scientific research system.This thesis selects and takes 90 Chinese chemists at home and abroad for more than 40 years as the objects of group research.Through the econometric analysis and diachronic analysis in combination with individual cases and other methods,it makes an analysis and research on the phenomenon of the rise of the group of prize-winning Chinese chemists in order to reveal the connotation,characteristics,and causes of this phenomenon.Therefore,the first part of this thesis focuses on the number of Chinese prize-winning chemists,the number of scientific and technological achievements and the research field to characterize the rise of Chinese chemists.The analysis shows that over the last 40 years,Chinese chemists have indeed increased.And the Chinese chemists have a say in many areas of research,they have achieved great successes.The second part analyzes the characteristics of the phenomenon of the rise of Chinese chemists on the basis of the first part.It holds that the prize-winning Chinese chemists own many characteristics,such as the integration of Chinese and western cultures,the intersection of disciplines and fields,the great creativity,etc.These features show that most Chinese chemists are the result of cultural exchanges and integration between Chinese and Westerncultures.It shows that the Chinese not only show their ingenuity in the world.And it also shows the great innovation of Chinese excellent traditional culture.Based on the characteristics,the third part conducts a comprehensive analysis on the causes of the emergence of Chinese chemists,focusing on expounding the common characteristics of Chinese chemists,such as divergent thinking,associative thinking,and holistic thinking,from personal factors,geographical factors,psychological cognitive factors,etc.All of these factors are common characteristics,these Features show up in the previous generations of chemists,and it also makes sense for the future of Chemistry.The attribution analysis will provide ideas for future reform and construction of scientific research system.
