Research On Wooden Toy Design Based On Chinese Traditional Culture

As a great country with a long history and profound cultural deposits,the toy culture of China also runs a long history and carries the excellent traditional culture of our country,which is sparking.We can't surpass lots of things left by our ancestors so far,whether the Chinese ancient craft or the traditional cultural thoughts,and they are unprecedented treasure of human being even in the world.However,under the impact of foreign culture,Chinese traditional culture is facing a tough test.Along with the development of economic society as well as scientific and technological progress,the toy production industry in our country is burgeoning,while the toy design industry comes to a standstill,thus,how to translate "made in China" into "designed in China" in international market is a question that we need to think about as a toy designer.In recent years,various design fields in our country have started an upsurge of new Chinese style,which is an unprecedented chance for toy design.The so-called new Chinese style refers to that it makes us of essence of Chinese traditional culture to create a design that conforms to the contemporary market trend.Thus,Chinese style is not a limitation but a method,just like what we call only the national is the world.On the one hand,we inherit the excellent Chinese traditional culture,on the other hand,we move towards the toy path of Chinese self-owned brand and design.In the booming development process,the wooden toy design of China not only gives play to its own advantages,but also finds many problems that urgently need to be solved.With a long history,it also is a large category of Chinese ancient toys,thus,the wooden toy is still a good bond between toy innovation and traditional culture.Facing the complex toy market and rapid scientific and technological development,how the wooden toy can remain invincible,and its current situation also brings certain thinking and enlightenments to innovative education.Through sorting out the Chinese traditional culture and folk toys,and analyzing the cases about toy brand of traditional culture at home and abroad,this paper obtains the advantages and disadvantages of traditional cultural innovation.Then with the wooden toy as the carrier,it applies the experience into the design to determine the elements and definite the idea,finally,it summarizes the feasible methods for traditional cultural innovation of our country in toy design to better inherit excellent Chinese traditional culture and promote the innovation and development of China's toy industry.
