Paper art has a long history.With the development of global technology and the improvement of culture,paper art has gradually lost its original charm because the characteristics of the times contained in it have made it hard to adapt to the trend of mainstream culture.Therefore,searching values in line with the times to infuse new vitality into paper art has become an inevitable course for the continuation and development of it.In recent years,the traditional culture is getting more and more popular.As a part of traditional culture,the traditional pattern has been increasingly sought after as well.Having presented a significant compatibility,the traditional pattern has evolved as a rare element in art design.The paper aims to study how to enable paper works(including modern illustration,packing,design for indoor exhibition,etc.)of rich cultural connotation and ingenious artistic conception by introducing distinctive style characteristics of traditional Chinese patterns into the creation of paper art and how to guide it to be a unique art symbol meeting the needs of modern society and carrying a centuries-old history as well as an infinite future.This paper systematically studies and analyzes Chinese traditional patterns and designs,and it focuses on the design and application of paper art in flat paper art,3D paper art and scene paper art.In the process of the extraction of traditional patterns,we should pay attention to its expression styles and innovations.By using the design method of deconstruction and reconstruction to re-create the traditional patterns,we show the significance of the fusion of traditional patterns and patterns with paper art,so as to touch people's heart and shock people's eyes.
