| Cryonics is a kind of medical technology under test. This technology conserves the bodies by building a very low temperature environment(generally below 196 ℃),and expects the advanced medical technology in the future to thaw and treat their patient.Since the first cryosurgery in China on May 30,2015,this technology gets more attention, people care about issues like: Should human cryosurgery be accepted by the mainstream scientific community? What kind of ethics should be followed? This paper will start with a detailed analysis of the essence of cryonics, and solve the common doubt by clarify the goal of cryonics.By analyzing and clarifying the profound relationship between the technology,self-awareness and human cognition, the article demonstrates the feasibility and necessity of the mainstream scientific community to accept the human body freezing technology. Finally,on the basis of philosophical analysis, the ethical principles and norms that should be followed to develop human body refrigeration technology responsibly are made clear.Firstly, the direct goal of cryonics is not "eternal life",and there is no clear judgment about the future given by cryonics, which can avoid most common doubts. From the perspective of embodied cognition, the relationship among brain, memory and self-consciousness is relatively clear.Through low temperature, human brain will enter the state of metabolism almost stopped, which should have a positive effect on the maintenance of self-consciousness.Finally,considering the special "mental energy promoting" function of this technology, and its internal relationship with the research of science and technology, and the uncertainty brought about by its technology assumption,it is reasonable and necessary to abandoning the unchanging ethical rules, and construct a flexible and core supported "ethics tent" to standardize the technology. |
