On The Developmental Direction Of Paleontological Museums In China In The New Era

With the rapid development in economy of China and people's growing demand for spiritual and cultural life,the museums,especially natural history museums,have been more and more booming.The development of the museums has made important contributions to improving the scientific quality and scientific research of the masses,especially the youth.As an important part of natural museums,Paleontology Museum,due to its unique and interest in knowledge,and importance in the protection of natural resources,has become an important "second classroom" for public,especially for the youth in China.The successful and high-level operation of the Paleontology Museum will play an important role in the development of the museum cause,the high-level development of science popularization and the promotion of scientific research.Based on the summarizing developing experiences of the Natural History Museum(including the Paleontological Museum)in China in recent two decades,and taking the Paleontological Museum of Liaoning(PMOL)as an example,the thesis is aiming at focusing on the developmental direction of the Palaeontological Museum in China,with discussion on many problems met in the development,and investigation and analysis,Under the direction of the General Secretary of CPC,President Xi J.P.(2016.7.20).The main ideas of this thesis are that the Paleontological Museum in China should adhere to the correct direction of running the museum,adhere to the "simultaneous development of scientific research and science popularization",lead the exhibition and popular science of the Museum of paleontology with high-level scientific research,and strengthen management(including collection management,talent training and introduction,improving exhibition level,new technology applied,etc.),so as to better build the museum into a real "Base for scientific research" and "Palace for science popularization",has made greater contributions to improving the scientific quality of the people in China,so that China's paleontological museums can be among the world's advanced natural history museums soon.
