| In the process of economic service-oriented,producer service industry has gradually become the main motivation of economic growth in many countries. With the deepening of social division of labor, the demarcation line between producer service and manufacturing is to be blurring, then the integrative development of two industries will be an important way to promote transformation and upgrading of industrial structure. In the past research, only a very small number of scholars have focused on heterogeneity of industrial integration, the researches on the difference of integrated development between two industries had just begun. In addition, international comparison is unconvincing due to domestic and foreign data is difficult to be unified.Based on input-output table of China in the period of 2000-2014 from the World Input and Output Database, this paper applied input-output analysis to measure the level of integrated development between producer service industry and manufacturing. The empirical analysis includes three parts:First of all, formulating basic statement of input and output in five sectors and constructing measurement model of input and output in order to measure the level of integrated development between producer service industry and manufacturing.Initially, explaining the industrial sector classification regulations involved in five sectors input-output table, and then building an integrated model and calculating the relevant indicators for analyzing the integrated developing situation of two industries.Secondly,on the basis of the heterogeneity of industries, comparing the difference of integrated developing industries between producer service industry and manufacturing. The comparison is divided into three parts: Firstly,Comparing the overall development level of the manufacturing and high-tech,medium-tech and low-tech manufacturing industries.Secondly,Comparison of level of integration between sub-sectors of producer service industry and the manufacturing. Finally,Comparison the integration between the high-tech,medium-tech and low-tech manufacturing and the overall producer service industry.Thirdly, this paper has chosen four developed countries such as the United States,Japan,Britain and Germany as the research object, and conducting international comparative analysis with status of two major industrial integration development in China. This paper has conducted the comparison horizontally from following three aspects: 1.Developing level of two industries and difference of input structure.2.The differences in service input rates.3.Differences of balance degree between two industries. As a result of research, the integrated development between producer service industry and manufacturing in China have experienced four stages, overall speaking,it shows that the developing trend is decline first and then rise with the slow rate, the level of integration is still in lower situation but the development trend is good;relatively speaking, manufacturing in China plays a greater role than producer service industry. The integrated development of two industries has obvious manufacturing-driven characteristics; It is found that the level of integration of high-tech manufacturing and producer service industry has no significant advantage compared with medium-tech and low-tech manufacturing, the development of manufacturing industry still mainly relies on traditional producer service industry, and there is a serious shortage of support from perspective of information and high-end producer service industry. The integrated development between producer service and manufacturing is unbalanced in China, and the quality of integration is still far behind that of developed countries. Therefore, developing modern producer service industry, promoting input of information services and supporting scientific research are necessary requirement to improve the integrated development of the two industries. |
