In recent years, cities have continuously strengthened the construction of infrastructure and improved the quality of human capital in order to seek better and faster development. The level of human capital aggregation is an important indicator to measure the quality of human capital. In the context of the current deepening of the concept of "building nests and attracting phoenixes",based on the basic theoretical theory of urban infrastructure and the basic theory of human capital aggregation, the method of combining theoretical analysis and empirical analysis is used to study the level of urban infrastructure on human capital aggregation. The degree of influence mechanism is of great significance.First, through the research of the existing literature, combining the basic theory of urban infrastructure and the basic theory of human capital aggregation, the qualitative analysis of the relationship between urban infrastructure construction and human capital aggregation.Then,35 large and medium-sized cities in China from 2009 to 2018 were selected as sample cities, and an indicator system was constructed to evaluate the level of urban infrastructure and calculate the degree of human capital aggregation.Using statistical analysis,it was found that the urban infrastructure level and human capital aggregation level maintained a growing trend during the sample years. After further dividing the sample cities by region,it was found that the urban infrastructure level and human capital aggregation level It shows a decreasing distribution from east to west, and there is a positive relationship between the level of human capital aggregation and the level of urban infrastructure. Then,by further subdividing the infrastructure level into the overall infrastructure level and the "soft" and "hard" infrastructure levels, and constructing a panel data measurement model, after considering the endogenous nature of the variables, the degree of human capital aggregation is first-order Lag terms are introduced into the model for dynamic GMM regression. The empirical results show that the overall level of urban infrastructure has a significant role in promoting the level of human capital aggregation. From the perspective of all cities and cities in the central and western regions, the "hard" infrastructure level has a higher promotion effect on human capital aggregation than the "soft" infrastructure level, while in the eastern cities, the "hard" infrastructure level has a greater impact on human capital aggregation. The promotion effect is lower than that of the "soft" infrastructure level.Among the control variables,GDP per capita, governmentexpenditure on education per capita, and city size all have a positive impact on urban human capital aggregation. However, the impact of per capita GDP on urban human capital accumulation in eastern cities with higher economic levels is not significant, and the impact of urban size on human capital accumulation in western cities is not significant. The government’s per capita education expenditure in central and western cities has a more obvious role in promoting human capital accumulation than in eastern cities. Finally, according to the research results, the following policy recommendations are given: strengthen urban infrastructure construction and implement local policies based on actual development problems;focus on regional coordinated development and strengthen the ability of central and western cities to attract and retain human capital;carry out market-oriented reforms and upgrade new urban models Infrastructure construction efficiency;change the government assessment system and strengthen the effective supply of urban infrastructure. |
