Schlick’s theory of concept has made key innovations.Influenced by Einstein’s view of relative time and space,Schlick embraced Helmholtz’s sign-theory,but rejected his ideas about spatial intuition;in order to ensure the clarity of the concept,Schlick introduced the methods defined by formalist mathematicians Moritz Pasch and David Hilbert into the mature theoretical system.Schlick believes that the concept is a symbol for signifying and associating objects; It is formed by giving the characteristics of the object a name;it is fundamentally different from the images;so he criticizes priori conceptualism and conceptual abstraction.Schlick believes that judgment indicates the relationship between objects and their existence;concepts are the "nodes" that link judgments and judgments;analytical judgment involves only the relationship between pure concepts, while comprehensive judgmentinvolves the relationship between concepts and reality;time is a sufficient and necessary condition for reality, and space is a sufficient condition for reality;concepts do not have space-time characteristics,so concepts are unreal.Schlick believes that knowledge manifests itself in recognizing again and finding the same from differences;the form of expression of knowledge is judgment, which is specifically expressed as the connection of concepts;the growth of knowledge is represented by the reduction of concepts.Schlick’s theory of concept has obvious features of nominalism, positivism and linguistic turn;Schlick’s theory of concept has a basic role in scientific knowledge and reflects the principles of thinking economy;the current academic community has questioned Schlick’s concept of relationship between concept and reality, the relationship between concept and language, and the concept resolution in the concept of knowledge Is misunderstood.
