With the country's prosperity, rapid economic development, and the country's high emphasis on poverty alleviation,China's poverty alleviation work has achieved important results. At present, the critical period of poverty alleviation has come, and building a well-off society in an all-round way means that all people must complete poverty alleviation. From the perspective of economic growth, this article studies the role of economic growth and income distribution on the one hand, and mainly studies the impact of economic growth and income distribution on the income of residents of different income classes;on the other hand, analyzes the main causes of poverty and economic growth or income distribution How does it affect these factors that cause poverty. This article takes the poor population and poverty factors as research objects, and studies the changes of poverty in the process of economic growth. The macro data released by the National Bureau of Statistics and survey data from the CGSS are used to describe and explain the current situation of poverty. The Shapley decomposition principle is used to decompose the economic growth factors and income distribution factors in the process of poverty change, and judge the type of economic growth in China. The decision tree and random forest are used to screen the variables, and the model is trained to predict the model. Then use the Logit model to conduct research on the causes of poverty, and then select the factors that mainly affect residents' income to make quantile regression with residents' income.Based on the above research,we have reached the following conclusions: China's poverty reduction work has achieved significant achievements. The incidence of poverty has been reduced from 97.5% in 1978 to 3.1% announced at the end of 2017,which has helped more than 700 million people successfully escape poverty;our economy It has grown rapidly, but the poor have not benefited much from it.China 's economic growth has not shown that the poor benefit from it.The Gini coefficient has also far exceeded the international warning line.It has remained high for many years, and has been close to0.5 at the highest. In the survey data, the Gini coefficient is more than 0.6,indicating that the inequality of income distribution in our country is very serious;the factors leading to poverty are complex and interlaced, but there are similar causes of poverty in both absolute poverty and relative poverty. This is the most direct reason that a person does not have sufficient ability to obtain remuneration. At the same time, the ability to obtain economic remuneration is obviously divided into high and low levels, which mainly depends on the health of the labor force, the level of education, and the length of time involved in labor.
