Research On The Remains Of Unearthed Animals In Tangye Site In 2014

This article takes the animal relics of the Western Zhou Dynasty unearthed in the Tangye site in 2014 as the research subject.Based on the species identification,it understands the general situation of animal relics,pays attention to domestic and wild animal use,and restores the paleoenvironment around the site to understand animal,the remains reflect the meat structure and zooarchaeology at that time.Chapter One Introduction.This paper introduces the general situation of Tangye site the zooarchaeology status,and sort out the animal archeological status of the Shang and Zhou dynasties in Shandong area,introduces the research content and research methods of this paper and explains the innovations and shortcomings of this paper.Chapter two is an overview of animal remains.It introduces the unearthed units of animal relics,and then introduces the animal relics unearthed in the Western Zhou Dynasty according to the Phylum,Class,Order,Family,Genus and Species.The third chapter is the comprehensive utilization of animal remains.The animals mostly used by the ancestors of the Tangye site in the Western Zhou Dynasty include the clams,pigs,deer,cows,dogs,and sheep.Among them,artiodactyl mammals such as pigs,deer,cattle,and sheep are the main species.Morphological evolution,age of death,bone surface traces,and rate of bone site discovery were discussed in terms of ancestors 'use of domestic and wild animals;meat estimates were used to infer the source of human meat at that time.Chapter four is about wildlife and natural environment.According to the ecological habits of wild animals,the climate and natural environment of the Western Zhou Dynasty at the Tangye site were restored.Chapter five is the conclusion.The Tangye site has formed a stable livestock breeding industry in the Western Zhou Dynasty.The ancestors would raise pigs for stable meat resources,cattle for gaining animal labor,dogs for hunting and guarding,sheep for wool or sheepskin,and horses for sacrifice.At the same time,people also carried out fishing and hunting activities,hunting wild animals like deer,fishing shellfish and fish for meat resources.In addition,some shellfish are used to make shellfish products to meet people's spiritual and cultural needs.Through the analysis of the composition of the fauna,the age structure of mammals,the artificial traces,the discovery rate of skeletal parts,and the structure of meat eating,a comparison and analysis with the Qijia Jue-earring workshop site revealed that the reasons for the differences between the two sites are very significant.It may be related to the natural environment around the site and the nature of the site.
