Study On The Diversity Of Fish In The Luoxiao Mountain

The Luoxiao Mountain is the center of biodiversity distribution in East Asia.It is the watershed between Poyang Lake and Dongting Lake in the middle reach of the Yangtze River,and is also the habitat of many endangered fish in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.Therefore,fish diversity in the Luoxiao Mountain plays a role in maintaining and supplementing the fish biodiversity in the Yangtze River.However,there is a lack of systematic study on fish in the Luoxiao Mountain,and the species composition,distribution and threated factor of fish are not clear.Our study aims to:1)analyse fish diversity and distribution pattern in the Luoxiao Mountain based on systematic invesgation;2)explore the formation mechanism of species diversity;3)provide basic information for protection and management of fish biodiversity.The results showed:?1?113 species were collected in the Luoxiao Mountain,belonging to 64 genera,17 families and 5 orders.Cypriniformes was the greatest?77?,accounting for 68.1%in the total species,followed by Siluriformes and Perciformes?16?,accounting for14.2%,Beloniformes was the lowest,accounting for 0.9%.?2?Analysis of faunistic showed that the endemic fishes of the river plain in East Asia was the greatest?51?,accounting for 45.1%in the total species,followed by offspring fishes of the old Tertiary Period?39?,accounting for 34.5%,The warm-water fishes of Southeast Asian was the lowest,accounting for 20.4%.?3?Analysis of ecological showed that carnivorous,bottom and settlement fish was the greatest,followed by omnivorous,middle and lower levels and stream.?4?Analysis of endangered showed that non-dangerous fish was the greatest?89?,accounting for 77.9%in the total species,followed by lacking data fish?16?,threatened fish was the lowest?8?.The critically endangered are Myxocyprinus asiaticus,The vulnerable are Leptobotia elongata,Pseudobagrus pratti,Liobagrus marginatus and Siniperca roulei,The near threatened are Onychostoma barbatulum,Siniperca obscura and Siniperca undulata.?5?Analysis of?diversity showed that the similarity of fish composition in the Luoxiao Mountain was medium(?_sor=0.50;?_jac=0.67).The spatial turnover and replacement components(?_sim=0.36;?_-3=0.39)were greater than it's nestedness and richness difference components(?_sne=0.14;?_rich=0.28).The protected areas need to be established in the Luoxiao Mountain.Analysis of PCA showed that the similarity of fish composition in LY,SS,SY,XH,and MS were similar;HS and MLwere similar;and YS was alone,respectively.Analysis of mantel showed that no significant effects of geographical drivers on?diversity in the Luoxiao Mountain.
