Gozella subgutturosa, also known as long-tailed yellow sheep,is a typical ungulate species in desert and semi-desert areas. Is a national level II wildlife protection,2006 Vulnerable species listed by the IUCN(Vulnerable species,VU).In recent decades, due to habitat loss and poaching, the global population of Gazella subgutturosa has been drastically reduced, the protection of Gazella subgutturosa species is extremely urgent.Habitat suitability evaluation is the foundation of implementing Gazella subgutturosa species protection, the paper selected research to the Karamely Nature Reserve(east longitude 88°30'-90°03',latitude 36°44?46°00?),located in the eastern end of the Junger Basin, the area is 13772.07km2.The reserve is mainly used to protect the the Gazella subgutturosa,Equus ferus,Eauus hemionus and Argali sheep. This paper use Gazella subgutturosa in site to make use of GPS positioning for latitude and longitude coordinates, remote sensing data in combination with the RS for environment variables, this article selects the gradient, slope aspect, elevation, green vegetation index and soil humidity index, water distance and man-made interference distance as environmental data, using GIS data processing and analysis to the environment, and based on MAXENT maximum entropy model to evaluate the Gazella subgutturosa habitat suitability, thought Gazella subgutturosa protection and management to provide a scientific reference. The research results are as follows:(1)the ROC curve shown by the MAXENT result indicates that the habitat suitability model of the antelope has a good prediction effect. The results show that the distance of water source, road, slope and direction are the main factors affecting the distribution of the Gazella subgutturosa. The influence of altitude and vegetation index is next.(2)the most suitable habitat area of Gazella subgutturosa in Karamely Nature Reserve is 1644.39km2,accounting for 11.95%of the total area of the reserve. The suitable habitat area was 6136.83 km2,accounting for 44.56%.The sub-optimal habitat area was 4119.23km2,accounting for 29.91%.The unsuitable habitat area was 1871.62 km2,accounting for 13.58%.(3)the most suitable habitat and relatively suitable habitat of Gazella subgutturosa are mainly concentrated in the core area and experimental area in the central ungulate nature reserve. The area of the most suitable habitat and relatively suitable habitat was 7781.22 km2,accounting for 56.51%of the total area of the reserve, indicating that the reserve was an ideal living area for the Gazella subgutturosa.
