Land provides basic conditions for human survival and reproduction, and the evolution of land use landscape pattern reflects the way of land use change.Taking Caijiawa small watershed in Miyun District of Beijing as an example, based on the vector data and DEM data of land use status in 2007 and 2017,using ArcGIS 10.2,Fragstats 4.2,SPSS 19.0 and other software, this paper quantitatively describes and analyses the spatial-temporal change characteristics of land use, landscape pattern evolution characteristics and landscape stability in the study area, and according to the evolution of landscape pattern in the study area. The characteristics and landscape stability change characteristics, and put forward corresponding suggestions. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)In terms of land use transfer characteristics, the land in the study area is mainly transferred to forest land, garden land and construction land, and the loss types are mainly cultivated land and grassland. From the perspective of elevation distribution characteristics, except for forest land, other land use types are mainly distributed in the elevation range of 0-200 m;forest land is distributed at each elevation level, and the area is the largest in the area of elevation>200 m.According to the characteristics of slope distribution, cultivated land, garden land, grassland and unused land are mainly distributed in the area with slope of 0-80.The construction land and water area are distributed most in the area with slope 0-3°,and the forest land is at each grade. It has a distribution on the top,and the area is the largest in the area with a slope of>8°.(2)The optimum size of landscape pattern analysis in the study area was determined to be 30m*30m.From the level of patch type, cultivated land and forest landscape were the dominant landscape types in the study area during the study period;besides woodland and unused land, landscape fragmentation of other land use types increased. From the overall landscape level, the number of patches in the study area increased, the degree of fragmentation increased, the shape of landscape patches became more complex, the spatial distribution tended to be centralized and uniform, and the landscape diversity increased.(3)During the study period, due to the improvement of the urbanization level of the study area, the construction of new rural areas, the implementation of ecological afforestation projects and the adjustment of agricultural structure, the stability of forest land and garden landscape was enhanced, ranking 2 and ranked respectively. The fifth rise was ranked first and third;the landscape stability of cultivated land, waters and grassland decreased, ranking from ranks 1,2 and 4 to ranks 2,4 and 6 respectively;and construction land changed little.
