Research On Alumni Information Management And Analysis System Based On GIS

With the continuous development of higher education in China,colleges and universities pay more attention to the development of alumni work.Alumni,as the precious wealth of colleges and universities,can play a key role in discipline construction,graduate employment and innovation and development of various tasks.Alumni is also the touchstone to measure the level of talent cultivation in a school.Therefore,with the rapid development of the Internet today,building a powerful,,complete and informative alumni network and corresponding information management system has become an indispensable part of alumni work in the relevant departments of universities.This paper also combines the actual work of college alumni with the relevant technology of GIS to discuss in detail the construction of the alumni information management and analysis system.Firstly,this paper expounds the research status of alumni resource utilization at home and abroad,and makes an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the alumni system in several universities at home and abroad.Then,according to the direction of improvement,the overall framework,module functions and key technologies of the system are determined.In addition,the innovation points of the system in the visualization of GIS and the application of spatial analysis algorithm are put forward based on the knowledge of GIS.The above contents are explained and discussed in detail.Next,the system needs are analyzed in detail,and on this basis,the database of the system is designed carefully.In the implementation of the system,the system is divided into front-end system and back-end system.The front-end alumni network is mainly used by alumni,and the back-end system is operated by administrators at all levels.In addition to the regular functions of news release,alumni donation,information collection and maintenance,the system emphasizes the functions of location display,statistical analysis and interactive experience.A web page with map visualization function is constructed to display the location information of alumni more intuitively on two orthree-dimensional maps,and the distribution of the alumni in different areas can be displayed by thermodynamic maps,bar maps and so on.At the same time,an analysis model based on K-means spatial analysis algorithm is constructed in the background to cluster and reasoning the data collected from alumni.Through the construction of this system,we can help the development of School Alumni association.Finally,by summing up the experience in the research,design and implementation of the system,the shortcomings of the system are pointed out,and the future improvements of scalable functions are prospected.
