Taxonomical Study Of Cymbellaceae And Naviculaceae (Bacillariophttad) From Changbai Mountains Region.China

Changbai Mts.Region located at northeast of China,it is a typical plateau mountain area formed by the volcanic eruption,this area has very unique geological structure,with various habitats,biodiversity of algae are very abundant.Samples were collected at August,2014 to investigate the biodiversity of diatom in this area.Nighty-seven samples were collected from different habitats include rivers,streams,ponds and springs,194 slides were made.Taxonomical researches were done for the Cymbellaceae and Naviculaceae based on the LM and SEM observations in this study.1.Seventy-two species and seven varieties were observed from Cymbellaceae and Naviculaceae in total,belonging to 15 genera.There are 25 new records in China includeing Amphora sancti-martial Peragallo,Cymbella alpestris Krammer,Cymbella crassa(Grunow)Krammer,Cymbella diversistigmata Krammer,Cymbella peraspera var.colombiana Krammer & Lange-Bertalot,Encyonema perminutum Krammer,Encyonema simile Krammer,Frustulia amphipleuroides(Grunow)Cleve-Euler,Luticola permuticoides Metzeltin & Lange-Bertalot,Diploneis heteromorphiforma Lange-Bertalot & Metzeltin,Craticula vixnegligenda Lange-Bertalot,Navicula irmengardis Lange-Bertalot,Navicula mediocostata Reichardt,Navicula prespanensis Levkov & Metzeltin,Navicula radiosiola Lange-Bertalot,Navicula reidiana Lange-Bertalot,Navicula vandamii Schoeman &Archibald,Neidium affine var.linearis Foged,Pinnularia cherryfieldiana Krammer,Pinnularia isselana Krammer,Pinnularia joculata(Manguin)Krammer,Pinnularia neomajor var.cuneta Krammer,Sellaphora pseudobacillum(Grunow)Lange-Bertalot & Metzeltin,Stauroneis bertrandii Van de Vijver & Lange-Bertalot,Stauroneis heinii Lange-Bertalot & Krammer.Taxonomical features were described for each species,comparison were made with similar taxa.LM pictures were provided for each taxon,SEM pictures were provided for some taxa,75 plates were attached at the end of this paper.2.In Cymbellaceae,four genera were observed,they are Amphora Ehrenberg,Cymbella Agardh,Cymbopleura(Krammer)Krammer,Encyonema Kützing,twenty-eight taxa were identified in total,7 of them are newly recorded species of China.3.In Naviculaceae,eleven genera were observed,they are Frustulia Agardh,Brachysira Kützing,Luticola Mann,Diploneis Ehrenberg,Caloneis Cleve,Craticula Grunow,Navicula Bory,Neidium Pfitzer,Pinnularia Ehrenberg,Sellaphora Mereschkowsky,Stauroneis Ehrenberg,fifty-one taxa were identified in total,18 of them are newly recorded species of China.4.Anlysis of species community and quality showed that quality of Cymbellaceae and Naviculaceae taxa is relatively high,and biodiversity of these two families was relatively low.Amphora montana Krasske,Encyonema minutum(Hilse)Mann,Cymbella alpestris Krammer,Encyonema gracile Rabenhorst,Frustulia vulgaris(Thwaites)De Toni,Pinnularia joculata(Manguin)Krammer,Pinnularia septentrionalis Krammer are dominant in some samples.Species diveristy is high in rivers and streams and low in ponds.Amphora oligotraphenta Lange-Bertalot and Pinnularia joculata(Manguin)Krammer were observed from habitats with very high water temperature 45.2?.
