As an important member of China's financial system, commercial banks play a decisive role in China's economic development.Modern scholars have a detailed analysis of the overall efficiency of commercial banks, and the efficiency of the branches that make up cells as commercial banks has received sufficient attention. This article summarizes the previous theoretical research, establishes a bank branch efficiency measurement model, uses the data enveloping analysis method and the Tobit method to study the most significant factors affecting the branch's operating efficiency. This article takes 20 branches of Z Bank in Guangzhou as the research object, and establishes an index selection model combining the entropy weight method and the expert scoring method to quantitatively and qualitatively select the input and output models of the data envelopment analysis method, and select the most appropriate ones to deal with the negative value of the data set.In the first stage of measurement, the data envelope analysis method was used to measure and analyze the efficiency value of the sample bank from a dynamic perspective. In the second stage,Tobit was used for regression analysis of the factors affecting the operating efficiency of the branch. The results of the study show that the geographic location and staffing of the branch have a significant impact on the operating efficiency of the organization. Each institution is gradually increasing the proportion of non-interest income to reduce the impact of the risk on the profits of the funds. As a result, the effect of the savings balance gradually becomes not significant. From the results,it can be seen that commercial banks should pay attention to the staffing of their branches, and training excellent teams can significantly increase operating efficiency;banks should increase the proportion of non-interest income and reduce the risk of funds.
