Gongyi City is located in the middle of Henan Province administrated by Zhengzhou City,and tectonic located at the eastern part of the Qinling Mountains that is transition zone of second grade topography and the third grade metamorphic steps in China.Its landform can be divided into four types of tectonic erosion hills,denuded hills,loess hills and alluvial plains.In recent years,with the socio-economic development and intensified human engineering activities,geological hazards frequently incurred that seriously threat to the security of human life and property,and restricting development of local economy.This paper analyzes the types,scale,development characteristics and formation conditions of geological hazards in Gongyi City.And influence factors(Topography,stratigraphy and lithology,rainfall and human engineering economy activity)of the top four townships have been selected to make gray correlation analysis.It is resulted that the human engineering economy activity has the greatest influence on geological hazard genesis with correlation degree of0.728,followed by terrain slope,then followed by annual rainfall,and the rock and soil type has the least influence,which is consistent with the actual situation of geological hazards in Gongyi City.According to the results of Geological Hazard Analysis in Gongyi City,GIS information superposition method was used to analyze the geological hazard prone area in Gongyi City.According to the eight assessment factors of density,slope,slope height,slope type,geotechnical structure,vegetation index,rainfall index and human engineering activity to establish a hierarchical structure model of geological hazard risk assessment to make regional geological hazard risk assessment and the region is divided into four different levels of non-prone area,low-prone area,middle-prone area and high-prone area.The results of the analysis are in good agreement with the actual hazard situation in each district,and it is proved that the applied method is scientific and reasonable in the study of geological hazard zoning.Using the same model and index,based on the geological hazard evolution trend,the geological hazard point caused by the loss is combined with the geological hazard formation condition and the triggering factor,the evolution trend and the human engineering activity,the geological hazard risk is divided into three levels of high danger area,middle risk area and low risk area.The countermeasure suggestions on economy development,site selection and slope design for new rural construction and urban construction important engineering infrastructure are given according to the geological and environmental conditions of Gongyi City,and the characteristics and distribution of geological hazards in the area.
