There is a hot spring named Luting river in Wangcang Town of Guangyuan City,Sichuan Province.It is listed as the famous spring of Sichuan in1995and has somegreat development value. It is located in middle and high mountain areas with somegeological disasters around which has great threaten to local residents. The geologicaldisasters have bad effect of special tourism resource, too. Local government andinvestment institutions would builded and constructed it to promote regionaleconomic development in2011. The paper studies the geological disasters in and outof the area and the effects of the construction behind this background.In this paper, it had made the geological environment investigation around theland of construction and identified the geological disaster types and characteristics,and its formation conditions. It mainly exists collapse, landslide and debris flow, Thegeological disaster development is mainly affected by the landforms, stratum lithology,geological structure, hydrologic geology, climate and vegetation, human activities andother factors. Then, basing on the analysis of the stability of the region, such as scale,density, frequency of geological disaster and the natural conditions, geologicalenvironment, engineering activities of human conditions, rainfall and other factors inhistory, it makes a possible future the collapse, landslide and debris flow, disastergeological situation and comprehensive analysis on this area. Finally, the study area isdivided into two major areas: the risk of large area and the risk of secondary zone.The risk of major regional site suitability is poorer, risk of secondary region sitesuitability of medium. It is more important to put on some advises on preventinggeological disaster for the construction of geological disaster prevention, earlywarning of great reference and guiding significance.The result of the study showed that5conclusions: (1) Luting river Hot Springs construction land within the assessment zone ofengineering geological conditions are relatively poor and Geological disasters isdevelopment. The main lithologic is sandstone, limestone and shale, with rigid rockon the top and soft rock on the underside.Because of differential weathering, theslopes shapes the recessed cavity of the cliff in the lower part. The upper part of hardrock under gravitational unloading is out of balance to the formation of geologicaldisasters.(2) There are34geological disasters in the region. They are showing the apparentregularity and strongly regional centralized.It has26collapses to form four largeunstable rock zones, along the Luting river and Daguoli debris flow on steep slopes.W24dangerous rock is large-scale, the other dangerous rocks are small; One landslideis medium-sized and6small slump; debris flow is one.(3) With all the major geological disasters in the region, W24dangerous rock isscale for large-scale.Under natural conditions, it is in the basic stability of the state,but in heavy rain or heavy rainfall conditions, it is in the unstable state. The rest aresmall composed of four dangerous rock bands. Dangerous rock band is small risk rock,and heavy rain or earthquake conditions will collapse with a wider range ofthreats.Therefore, the disaster of the collapse of the survey area will be increasinglyrequired to take appropriate control measures; Wangjiaying landslide is the medium;Daguoli debris flow is low and easy hair thin debris flow gullies.There is nolarge-scale geological disasters.(4) The study of geological hazard assessment showed that the degree of harm ofgeological disasters in the region is moderate risk of small-medium. With constructionof road and infrastructure construction projects, slope excavation may trigger andaggravate moderate-risk geological hazards, and may be subject to the risk moderate-danger geological hazards.(5) Comprehensive assessment is divided into the assessment of geologicaldisasters risk of geological disasters, medium two large areas, geological hazard area (I),an area of0.49km2, site suitability; Geological Hazard middle zone (II) area10.90km2,the venue is the basic suitability.
