Relying on the item of geologic hazards survey and zoning in Simao District, after the comprehensive survey and analysis to the geological environmental of the study area, this paper discussed how to use spatial analysis method to make quantitative and positioning micro-studies to the risk and disaster and hidden danger of geological disasters in the supporting of GIS, which focused on analyzing the application practice of information method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method on the investigation and assessment of geological hazards. The feasibility, reliability and universal applicability of spatial analysis applied to the investigation and assessment of geological hazards research were authenticated by comparing the anastomosis of two kinds of evaluation results with the field survey results. The major research findings were as follows:1,It selected eight factors such as the distance to fault, distance to highway, rainfall, slope, lithology, distance to river, aspect and distribution of geological disasters to establish geologic hazards risk evaluation index system, and on this basis, selected direct economic losses and population casualties per village to establish disaster evaluation index system of geological disasters; then by comparing the two groups of hidden danger factors, they were the potential property damage and potential threat to the population per village or the population density and household density per village, to establish hidden danger prediction index system of geological disasters.2,The methods of information method and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method have been successfully applied to geological hazards assessment in Simao District, which have formed a set of relative completed regional geological hazards evaluation technical line and evaluation methodology, from establishing evaluation index system, divising evaluation units, establishing an evaluation model to make practice. Studies have shown that the two kinds of evaluation results are basically consistent with the field survey results, but a higher degree of matching with the evaluation results of information method and the field survey results, the high-risk zone of geological hazards mainly distribute in the mountain valley hillside where Hillman resident in, as well as the relevant convenient transport areas along the highway; the low-risk zone of geological hazards mainly concentrate on the basin where the terrain is relatively flat and Nature Reserve, and the distribution of disaster and hidden danger zone of geological hazard are basically same as geological hazard risk zone, that is to say the evaluation results of information method had higher accuracy and reliability, which worthy to further promotion.3,It proposed using spatial analysis method to make economic loss assessment of geological hazards, the information method have been successfully applied to the evaluation of disaster and hidden danger of geological disasters, and there is a higher matching degree between the evaluation results and the actual investigation results, noting that the results are feasibility and reliability by using spatial analysis method to make economic loss assessment of geological hazards. The results of geological hazards disaster and danger prediction assessment with using direct economic losses and population casualties per village as the disaster evaluation factors and the population density and household density per village as hidden danger factors had more general meaning and worth promoting.
