Water and soil loss is serious in Haizhou Mining Dumping,where is characterized by its wide area.By the analysis of water physiological characteristics of pure Robinia pseudoacacia forest,pure Ulmus pumila forest and Robinia pseudoacacia × Ulmus pumila forest.The rapid weighing method was used in measuring transpiration rate and the pressure chamber method was used in measuring water potential in branches and leaves.Relative water content and water saturation deficit of leaves were attained by drying method.Meanwhile,temperature,humidity,light intensity and wind speed meteorological indexes were measured.The research result indicates that the vegetation transpiration rate,the water potential,the relative water content of leaves significantly correlate with the water saturation deficit in these three reclamation modes.For mixed Ulmus pumila forest,the transpiration rate is the highest while the change range of water potential is the smallest,and there is the most significant correlation between water potential and relative water content.For pure Ulmus pumila forest,the water potential is the highest and the relative water content is the largest.For pure Robinia pseudoacacia forest,the transpiration rate correlates significantly with the water potential and the relative water content.By the comprehensive analysis of the whole indexes,suggesting that Robinia pseudoacacia × Ulmus pumila forest which give priority to Robinia pseudoacacia has a strong capacity of drought resistance,of which the water physiological parameters are relatively stable,is much more suitable for the reclamation work in Mining Dumping.It can be seen as a significant guide to the reclamation work in Haizhou Mining Dumping.
