The Diversity Of Seed Plants In Yunnan Plateau And Its Conservation

The study takes Yunnan Plateau as the research objects.On the basis of collecting the information of the wild seed plants in the Yunnan plateau,we has preliminarily completed the catalogue of seed plants,and analyzed the characteristics and properties of seed plants diversity,discussed the endemism.At the same time,we has counted up the national key protected wild plants.By these investigations,some main results were arrived as follows:1.The diversity of plant species in the Yunnan plateau is very high.A total of 5928 wild seed plants(including subspecies taxa)were recorded,belonging to 1392 genera and 208 families at Yunnan Plateau,which accounted for 81.95%of Yunnan Province's total number of families,68.00%of total genera,54.65%of all species,and accounted for 79.27%of China's total number of families,44.11%of total genera,20.28%of species.Among them,39 species belonging to 18 genera and 9 families are gymnosperms.The other 199 families 1374 genera 5889 species are angiosperms.2.The region of Yunnan Plateau is a very natural one in floristic nature,which belongs to East Asiatic floristic kingdom,Sino-Himalayan forest subkingdom,Yunnan plateau region.The flora of Yunnan plateau is subtropical in nature,and obviously transits to temperate zone.And the floristic elements are complex and widely related.Generally speaking,Yunnan plateau is a collection area of many floristic elements.3.The seed plant flora of Yunnan plateau has an ancient origin,which has a large number of ancient relict taxa.At the same time,it has many new endemic species,is an important area for the formation of new species,with many neoendemics.4.There are many national key protected wild plants,endangered plants and narrowly distributed plants in Yunnan plateau.Protection should be strengthen for those rare or endangered or endemic taxa.
