In recent years, with the deepening of research on negative refractive index materials, negative refractive index materials have been confirmed in the microwave, terahertz, infrared and visible light bands, and their application fields are more diversified. Now,it has been possible to use negative refractive index materials. In many daily fields such as electromagnetic stealth, information storage, and mobile communications, the use of negative refractive index materials for optical devices has also become one of the hot research directions in many fields of application. To better use this material to make optical devices,it is necessary to understand The reflection and transmission of light waves on the surface of the medium to understand the changes in the phase of reflected and refracted waves and the changes in energy. Therefore, based on Maxwell's equations, this paper studies the Fresnel reflection at the interface of negative refractive index medium based on the boundary conditions of electromagnetic field and the basic transmission characteristics of light waves in negative refractive index media. The discussion between reflected light wave, refraction light wave and incident light wave is discussed. The amplitude relationship, phase relationship, and energy relationship provide a theoretical basis for the study and fabrication of negative refractive index material optics. The specific work is as follows:1.The Fresnel reflections at the interface between TE and TM waves from a positive refractive index medium to a negative refractive index medium were investigated. The expressions of the reflection law,the law of refraction, the reflection coefficient, the transmission coefficient, and the reflectivity and transmittance are given. The simulated and analyzed reflectance wave, refracted light wave and incidence when the TE wave and TM wave are incident from the air to different negative refractive index media. The relationship between amplitude, phase, and energy of light waves. The results show that the refracted light and the incident light wave are on the same side of the interface normal,TE wave may also exist Brewster's angle,TM wave may not have Brewster's angle, and the existence of TE wave and TM wave in Brewster is discussed. The special angle condition is different from the situation where the light wave is at the interface of two positive refractive index media.2.The Fresnel reflections at the interface between TE and TM waves from negative refractive index medium to positive refractive index medium were studied. The expressions of the reflection law,the law of refraction, the reflection coefficient, the transmission coefficient, and the reflectance and transmittance are given. The simulated and analyzed waves of reflected and refracted light and incident light are reflected when the TE and TM waves enter the air from the negative refractive index medium. The relationship between amplitude, phase, and energy. At this time, the refracted light and the incident light wave are still on the same side of the interface normal. Both the TE wave and the TM wave may have Brewster's angle. The conditions for the existence of the Brewster's angle are discussed.3.The Fresnel reflections at the interface between the TE and the TM wave when the negative refractive index medium is incident on the negative refractive index medium are studied. The expressions of the reflection law,the refraction law,the reflection coefficient, the transmission coefficient, and the reflectivity and transmittance are given. The TE wave and the TM wave are reflected at the interfaces of two negative-index media to reflect the light wave, the refraction light wave and the incident light wave. The relationship between amplitude, phase, and energy. In this case, the refracted light and the incident light wave are on the two sides of the interface normal, and the light wave is the same on the interface of two positive refractive index media, but both the TE wave and the TM wave may exist in the Brewster's angle, and discussed. There is a condition of Brewster's angle.
