Different from the traditional materials, negative refractive index materials have many special properties, such as the negative Fresnel law, the inverse Doppler effect, the negative Cerenkov Radiation, super-lenses, these characteristics give a new way of research for the classical electromagnetic theory. Polarization characteristic is a very important physical property of electromagnetic wave, Polarization of electromagnetic wave has been widely used in military, life and medical field in recent years.The prerequisites for this paper is negative refractive index material and polarization of electromagnetic wave, which was used by method of the finite integral time domain, square, round, hexagonal openings resonant ring were researched the influence on the polarization characteristics of electromagnetic waves in different frequencies and 45 degree oblique incidence, respectively. The simulation results were shown that the polarization conversion of electromagnetic wave was not same with the different structure, the frequency and the incident angle. The results of this paper can provide some theoretical basis and reference for the control of the electromagnetic wave of polarization state.
