Based on an integrated synthesis on the available data obtained from regional geology and mineral resources survey, geochemical and geophysical exploration, this paper has conducted a systematically measurements on the stream sediments with a scale of 1:50000 in the Cantor area of Tibet, and hereby revealed the element distribution and enrichment characteristics, and element assemblage features in different strata units. In combination with regional survey on mineral resources, this work has discovered one new mineralized spot and four new mineral occurrences.By investigating the ore-forming conditions, such as strata, structures, magmatic rocks and geochemistry, this paper comprehensively summarizes the metallogenic regularity and the factors controlling the formation of ores, and establishes the prospecting model for mineral prediction. The results of this work have pointed out the direction for future prospecting, and roughly delineated the prospecting district and main mineral varieties.According to the results of stream sediment measurement with a scale of 1:50000,we have delineated 339 localities of anomalies for single chemical element,36 localities of anomalies for element assemblages, and 22 localities for integrated element anomalies within an area of 1700km2.Among these assemblage anomalies,12 localities are Au-Ag-As-Sb anomalies,9 localities are Cu-Cr-Co-Ni anomalies,10 localities are W-Sn-Mo-Bi anomalies,5 localities are Cu-Pb-Zn anomalies.Among these integrated anomalies,4 localities can be grouped into the first class anomalies,14 localities into the second class, and 1 locality into the third class.By comprehensively analysis these anomalies and in combination with regional mineral resource survey,1 metallogenic prospect area,i.e.,the Adajie-Jiabuza copper(gold)prospect area has been determined. The results of this work also show that in the Cantor area of Tibet, there exists distinct anomalies of Cu,Au,Cr,Co and Ni.The anomalies of Cu,Cr,Co,Ni were distributed with a moniliform style along an NW-trending in the Mugagangri Group and around the granodioritic porphyry plutons.Au are relatively enriched in the Quaternary and the Angjie Formation, and distributed along rivers in Cantor Formation, north of prospecting zone, indicating a fair prospecting potential area for placer gold.By further verification of these anomalies,5 Cu(Au)mineralized points have been discovered, thus laid a solid foundation for further ore prospecting.
