Study On The Promotion Of Core Competitiveness Of Shanghai Fumin Economic Development Zone

Economy zone of Fumin is located in Liantang Town Qingpu District of Shanghai City.Since its establishment in 1992,although starting early,it has small scale,low correlation between enterprises.It has not formed its unique core competitiveness of industrial clusters,gradually lost its core competitiveness when comparing with other emerging high-tech development zone and surrounding regional economic development zone,either.The author is working in LianTang Town of the people’s government,as a young cadre,hoping that through the study of the prosperous economic development zone,to enhance their core competitiveness,eagering for its better development,and promoting the economy of LianTang Town.Therefore,the aim of this paper is through the rich economic development zone research to draw a suitable model for its further development.In this paper,the author puts Fumin development zone as an example.According with the relevant theoretical knowledge and model tools,the author analyzes the current situation,shortage and problems of the development zone.As a conclusion,the competitive advantage of the development zone mainly depends on building and cultivating its own unique industrial cluster.What is more,it needs to put forward some promotion measures for the core competitiveness of the development zone.Firstly,using the development zone,industrial cluster and core competitiveness theory to elaborate the relationships between the core competitiveness of the development zone and industrial cluster,and to study the development status of Fumin development zone,then pointing out its main problems.Secondly,using strengths,weaknesses,opportunities,and threats(SWOT)analysis model to evaluate the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of the development zone,using Potter Diamond Model to analysis the internal and external environment,the industrial cluster and competitiveness of Fumin development zone,which is to highlight the comparative advantages of location,culture and policy,and to development the competitive advantages of brand,cost,industry,innovation,and to bring comprehensive effect into play of regional,synergies and industrial clusters effects.Finally,from strategic deployment,development planning and environmental foundation,it can start with development strategy,investment environment and policyguarantee investment,then proposes the strategies of the specific core competitiveness when basing on the actual of Fumin development zone and industrial cluster.
