In recent years, our government has been attaching great importance to the issues related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and in the long term it will be a national policy to solve the issues. With the development of China's economy and the progress of agricultural technology, the output of agricultural products has reached a new height year after year, but the contradiction between the flow of agricultural products is becoming more and more serious.Due to the biological characteristics of agricultural products, the logistics and transportation is quite difficult. To solve the difficulties caused by agricultural products logistics and decrease the cost of logistics costs and improve the added value of agricultural products,it is necessary to build a suitable agricultural logistics center in order to achieve the purpose of efficient distribution of agricultural products. This paper introduces the present situations, its characteristics and modes of agricultural logistics in China, and then summarizes and analyzes the theories and methods of logistics center location, and elaborates the purposes, principles and influencing factors of agricultural product logistics center,as well as the common methods of location choice. On the basis of these theories, the use of maximum coverage model with AHP fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and the decision of logistics center location of agricultural product are discussed in this paper. In the last part of the paper,it takes “S” Company as an example, which plans to build a logistics center covering agricultural products in Liangshan prefecture. It first takes the maximum coverage mode to calculates the macro location for “S” Company by use of the software WinQSB2.0,that is where Xichang city lies in Liangshan prefecture. And then, after much investigation and analysis, the three plots of P,Q and R in Xichang city are decided as the candidate locations. And on the basis of it,by designing questionnaire, the paper takes AHP to calculate the candidates' matrix and the weight coefficient of each evaluation index on the condition of conformity.Next, based on the scores given by 3 experts on the 10 standards for 3 candidate locations, the frequency method is taken to calculate the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation matrixand make the first and second-grade fuzzy evaluation. Finally,by assigning the evaluation set,the weighted average method is used to obtain the comprehensive evaluation score of the 3 candidate locations,of which the candidate R is the best score,3.935,and the best location for “S” Company as a center of agricultural products logistics. At the end of the article, the limitations of this paper and the future research direction are also discussed.
