The rise and repaid development of distribution center in China,fully embodies that this kind of organization form has strategic advantages of the developing modern logistics.But the large number of goods in storage,the larger total value and the higher inventory of the distribution center will make the enterprise operating costs too high,which becomes the main diseases of affecting development.Therefore,the scientific and reasonable inventory management is increasingly becoming a key means for enterprise to innovate management and exploit the competitive potential.This article is based on the characteristics and operation mode of distribution center in MYWA company.First of all,it analyzes the implementation status of inventory management from the internal operation of the distribution center and the main functional departments of internal supply chain,and then find the following problems in the process of inventory management,namely: high inventory in distribution center,poor inventory turnover,low efficiency of inventory management operation.Secondly,basing on the idea of comprehensive inventory management,we find the causes of these problems from the four dimensions of internal collaboration,order management,lean production and inventory control by using fish bone chart.That are the lack of coordination awareness between internal supply chain department;order management model is unreasonable;also the lack of lean production management measures and inventory control mechanism.Then,we use the theory of business process optimization,lean production management and ERP inventory management respectively to put forward the corresponding improvement strategy of inventory management in Mywa’s distribution center.That is to improve the collaboration and information sharing of internal supply chain by establishing the cooperation mechanism in the interior supply chain.To improve the inventory backlog by adjusting the order management mode which could improve accuracy of order demand prediction.To improve inventory management operation efficiency through implementing lean production management to distribution center,optimizing fashion jewelry operation flow,effectively controlling order packing plan and adopting the quota whiling issuing material.To improve the overall inventory management level by improving employee’s consciousness of inventory management,using ABC classification method and key factor method to implement joint management of inventory control,optimizing the organizational structure of distribution center and enhancing the inventory management performance evaluation of internal supply chain.Finally,we will verify the implementation of improvementstrategy of inventory management in Mywa’ distribution center from different aspects including the order demand prediction accuracy,fashion jewelry operation efficiency,packaging planning change frequency,in process backlog quantity,inventory overall level and inventory efficiency.The improvement of inventory management is a complicated,difficult and huge project.At present,most enterprises in China are still in the process of improving.Therefore,this article proposes the improvement strategies of the existing inventory management from the perspective of optimizing production management and integrate the internal supply chain,to improve the existing inventory management,which plays a positive role of improving the overall inventory management level of the distribution center,as well as provides meaningful reference for other industries distribution center. |
