Study On The Supply Chain Operation For Extended Warranty Service

With improvement of product experience about consumers,extended warranty service industry has developed rapidly in recent years in china,the profitability of extended warranty has been explored by more and more enterprises,different companies provide extended warranty and desire to make a profit from it.However,some issues have also been exposed,such as the serious conflict between the manufacturer and the supplier,lack in the link of service chain cohesion,non-standard service contract and imperfect law environment,which are hindering the healthy development of this industry.In order to solve the problems existed in the operation of extended warranty service supply chain,we study the impact on supplier's market entry decision that brought by the manufacturer's product quality and the service quality of third party when the information is asymmetric and symmetrical between the supplier and the consumer.Based on the analysis of the nature of extended warranty service supply chain and different types of service chain,we study that whether different suppliers could chose extended warranty service by establishing the game model,we also talk about different strategy combinations between manufacturer and supplier,and through further mathematical analysis we obtain the a variety of strategies to meet the needs of the conditions,we clear that whether the information is symmetrical between the supplier and the consumer and related quality level factors have influence on the market-entry decisions of supplier.Based on the above and the analysis of operation of extended warranty service supply chain,we put forward some management suggestions to the operation of extended warranty service supply chain from two levels: the first one is internal operation management in extended warranty service supply chain,the second one is external supervision system.Improvements of internal operation management mainly includes enriching the content of the agency appointment contract terms and conditions,and promoting agility and enhancing coordination of extended warranty service supply chain,which can ensure operation management for internal security of service supply chain.Perfecting external supervision system is mainly to strengthen the construction of the current regulations of extended warranty service industry,especially to ensure the application of standard contract for extended warranty service,which can provide a better legal environment for operation of extended warranty service chain.In addition,we also put forward other suggestions for supply chain operation of extended warranty service from manufacturers' market regulation,maintenance service system and marketing methods and strategies of extended warranty service,in order to promote service chain operation and industry development for extended warranty.
