Warranty is an oral or written assurance provided by manufacturer or seller for a product or service to a buyer.It may be viewed as a contractual agreement between manufacturer or seller and buyer that is entered into upon sale of the product or service.With the rapid development of science and technology and the market competition being more and more fierce,the warranty period has been longer and longer.At the same time,with the upgrading of consumer structure,consumers' demands of extended warranty services are increasing.In order to reduce the manufacturer's product warranty costs and meet the growing consumer demand for extended product warranty services,in recent years,experts and scholars have begun to introduce preventive maintenance strategies to extended warranty.But most of them are only in the one-dimensional extended warranty,few scholars have introduced preventive maintenance strategy into the two-dimensional extended warranty.In addition,previous studies on preventive maintenance are focused on periodic preventive maintenance,the studies of aperiodic preventive maintenance are not enough,which can't fully meet the needs of consumers.Based on the above analysis,in view of the research status and deficiencies of twodimensional extended warranty service strategy,two aspects of study are carried out from the manufacturer's perspective.The first aspect is the combination of preventive maintenance strategy and the two-dimensional extended product warranty service.Based on reliability theory,the failure model and warranty cost model were constructed.The second part is based on the research of periodic preventive maintenance,a kind of reliability-based aperiodic preventive maintenance strategy was studied.In addition,the corresponding cost model was established to optimize the extended warranty cost.A sensitivity analysis was conducted to evaluate the effect of model parameters on the model.The results showed that the strategy in this paper could effectively reduce the corresponding extended warranty cost,which not only consummates the theoretical research of the product warranty strategy,but also has very important practical significance.
