Abstract/Summary:
In 2015,China’s successful major transformation was no longer limited to the promotion of investment and foreign trade in promoting economic growth,but was adjusted to domestic demand,especially consumption.Moreover,in the consumption,the upgrading of consumption structure is of utmost importance.With the improvement of living standards,people are no longer satisfied with food and clothing.The proportion of food expenditure in consumer spending has been declining.The share of consumption-oriented consumption has gradually increased and gradually become the main body.Therefore,consumption growth has great potential.After the reform and opening up,various Western retail formats have flooded into China.Supermarkets,chain stores,shopping malls,and online shops have interspersed with each other,injecting more vitality into China’s economic development,promoting economic efficiency,increasing employment rates,and saving energy.Environmental protection and other aspects have a tremendous role.For Chinese consumers,due to the increase in per capita disposable income and consumption level,the consumption structure of residents is also undergoing major changes,making the retail business in China must adapt to the upgrading of the consumption structure in order to better drive the economy of our country.development of.Therefore,through studying the impact of the upgrading of the consumption structure on the development of retail formats,and based on the relationship between the two,the formulation of relevant policies to promote the development of retail formats has important implications for the healthy development of retail formats and the entire society.This article takes China’s retail business as an example,and conducts related research on the impact of the three aspects of China’s consumption structure upgrade on China’s retail formats.First of all,this article defines the related definitions of upgrading consumer structure and retail formats,and analyzes the influencing factors of retail formats.Secondly,the development process and status quo of the upgrade of the consumption structure and retail formats are discussed,and it is concluded that the upgrade of the consumption structure and the development of retail formats roughly correspond to each other in terms of time.Then,based on the existing research,the paper analyzes in detail the impact of the upgrade of the consumption structure on retail sales from the aspects of upgrading of consumer product structure,upgrading of consumer quality structure and upgrade of consumer brand structure.Furthermore,using the panel data from 2010 to 2015,the impact of China’s consumption structure upgrades and retail formats was analyzed.From the analysis results,this article believes that the upgrade of consumer quality structure has a positive role in promoting offline department stores,supermarkets,and convenience stores in China,and upgrading of consumer product mix can promote the development of online shopping online.Finally,based on summarizing the characteristics of the impact of China’s consumption structure upgrade on retail formats,we will consider the conclusions and propose different policy proposals for specific retail formats in China.
