At present,China is in a new pattern of domestic and international dual-cycle development,and the trend of overseas high-end consumption returning is obvious.At the same time,the digital economy has become the new kinetic energy of domestic economic growth,in which the domestic double-cycle development strategy determines the change of people’s consumption behavior,and the change of consumption situation on the demand side can effectively pull the industrial upgrading on the supply side.At the same time,in the trend of overseas high-end consumption returning,the consumption upgrade is accompanied by the simultaneous promotion of industry digitalization,which is manifested as e-commerce.In addition,at present domestic digital economy has become the new kinetic energy,and industrial digitization will become the development focus,which indicates the necessity of promoting the path of industrial digitization through consumption upgrading,and injects power into the new kinetic energy of domestic economic growth at this stage.Therefore,it is necessary to explore consumption upgrade and industrial digital upgrade features,influence theory after understanding the current domestic and foreign policies and consumption background,i.e.to understand how consumption upgrading affects industrial digitalization,and to conduct further empirical research on it.Based on the review and analysis of consumption upgrading theory and industry digitalization theory,this study collects Beijing dashboard data from 2010 to 2020 and panel data of 30 provinces(autonomous regions/municipalities directly under the central government)in China from 2014 to 2020,based on the VAR model of Beijing’s luxury consumption return and consumption upgrade,on the premise of clarifying the current domestic consumption upgrading and industry digitalization development,and constructs relevant static panel data model with reference to the impact of consumption upgrading on industry digitalization.And fixed effects model(national and eastern)and random effects(central and western)for the national and sub-regional(eastern,central and western)two regional scope respectively,and each model is evaluated and analyzed in the empirical analysis.According to the empirical results,the national and regional regression results show that consumption upgrading can positively promote industrial digitalization.From the national perspective,for every additional unit of consumption upgrade,the industry digitalization degree can be increased by 0.057 units.From the perspective of different regions,the positive promotion effect of the three regions in the eastern,central and western regions increases in turn.In addition,nationwide,per capita disposable income,urbanization level and child support ratio are all positively promoting the industry digitalization level.As for the relationship between overseas high-end consumption returning and consumption upgrade,the results show Beijing’s oversea high end renturning is influencing consumption upgrade positively.This research has certain research significance.First of all,the existing research on consumption upgrading and digital economy has not been unified on the impact path and role relationship between the two.and the existing empirical research is mostly using the method of questionnaire survey,there is no relevant empirical research on panel data,and there is no final conclusion on how consumption upgrading affects industry digitization.This research combines background of oversea luxury consumption returningof that year and is based on the relevant theoretical basis.This paper puts forward and establishes a theoretical model of consumption upgrading promoting industry digitalization,takes panel data as a sample for empirical test,and makes further regression analysis on the differentiated impact of different regions,which provides a new theoretical and empirical basis for the current impact path of consumption upgrading on industry digitalization.Secondly,the core point of China’s current dual-cycle new development pattern is to expand domestic demand,and the key to expand domestic demand is consumption.At the same time,as the new kinetic energy of China’s economic growth,the development focus of digital economy will shift from digital industrialization to industrial digitalization.Therefore,clarifying the functional relationship between China’s current consumption upgrading and industrial digitalization,and further exploring the regional differences in the functional relationship between the two will provide a reasonable and reliable basis for China to formulate policies and measures scientifically and effectively,and help China to further effectively improve the quality of economic development.
