Mergers and acquisitions(M&A)are important means for enterprises to expand their business scale,diversify their businesses and enhance their comprehensive competitiveness.However,mergers don't necessarily lead to improve overall performance.In fact,researches show that only 30-40%of mergers can be considered as successful M&A compared with the competitiveness before and after the merger.There are many factors that impact the success of M&A.Among these factors,the integration of human resources management is one of the key elements.The rational allocation,and retention of human capital and the full play of talents determine the effectiveness of integration,and then impact the success rate of M&A.Therefore,it is significance to discuss how to improve the integration of human resource management for enterprises which carry out mergers and achieve success.X company as a system integration enterprise,purchased D company by means of merger,and have reorganization after merging.We choose X company as the research object,then study the human resource management of the company after merger,which is guided by the theories of human resource management in the enterprise merger.First of all,we have analyzed the specific circumstances of both companies after the merger and pointed out two main problems in human resource:high staff turnover and instability brought by executive changes.Then we explore the main causes of these problems,including management model difference,mismatch between organization structure and position,salary system difference and culture differences;finally,we put forward four measures combined with the theory of experts for X company to improve human resources management after the merger:promoting effective management model,optimizing organizational structure and process,unifying salary system and cultural integration.This paper discusses the problems and improvement measures in human resource management of X company after the merger,which has a certain practical value that can provide references for other enterprises to carry out reasonable and effective human resource management in merging.
