Faced with increasingly fierce competition,enterprises develop and enhance their core competitive advantages by formulating long-term strategic goals so as to explicit company’s development direction.However,if strategies cannot be implemented effectively,they may fail to achieve the desired goals.The Balanced Scorecard is an effective tool for implementing strategic objectives.It integrates performance evaluation and enterprise’s strategies closely and makes a scientific and reasonable assessment of the enterprise.Based on the theory of Balanced Scorecards,according to the characteristics of China’s automobile manufacturing enterprises,combing theoretical research and case studies,this paper takes a vehicle company S as the research object to conduct a performance evaluation system research.S vehicle company is a vehicle production company that integrates R&D,production,and sales.With the continuous development of this company,the increasing competition in this industry poses a challenge to the operating and management abilities of this company.Currently,S vehicle company implements a performance evaluation system based on traditional performance evaluation indicators.By comparing the sales profit rate and sales growth rate at the end of the year with those expected at the beginning of the year,it evaluates achievements of this year.This performance evaluating system has certain limitations.It lacks relevance to the company’s strategic objectives and fails to realize the company’s strategic objectives.In view of the shortcomings of the current performance evaluating system of S vehicle company,this paper proposes that a balanced scorecard should be introduced in performance evaluation and analyzes its necessity and feasibility.In order to design a performance evaluation system based on the Balanced Scorecard for S vehicle company,at first this paper uses the SWOT analysis tool to analyze the strategicenvironment of the S vehicle company,sets up the strategic goals of this company,draws a strategic map.The evaluation indicators are selected according to the strategies and the principle of relevance,comprehensiveness,importance,and accessibility of strategic objectives.What’s more,in order to make the weights of the indicators more scientific and reasonable,this paper adopts the combination weighting method.At first,the subjective relative weights of the indicators are figured out by using analytic hierarchy process.Next,the objective relative weight of the indicators is figured out by using entropy method.Then,the subjective and objective relative weights are integrated to obtain the final weight of the indicators.Finally,the new performance evaluation system is applied to the S vehicle company,and the evaluation results of the S vehicle company are analyzed.The new and old evaluation systems are compared.The conclusion is made that the performance evaluation system based on the Balanced Scorecard in the overall framework,evaluation results and evaluation effects are better than those in the old performance evaluation system of the S vehicle company.In addition,in order to enable S vehicle company to run the performance evaluation system based on Balanced Scorecard,this paper proposes corresponding safeguard measures.
