Research On China Mongolia Economic And Trade Cooperation Under The “Belt And Road” Initiative

Economic and trade cooperation is an important manifestation of global economic development and an inevitable choice for all countries to follow the trend.Since 1999,China and Mongolia have maintained close economic and trade cooperation and China has become Mongolia’s largest trade and investment partner.Since 1999,China and Mongolia have maintained close economic and trade cooperation and China has become Mongolia’s largest trade and investment partner.Especially since “the Belt and Road” Initiative was put forward by China in 2013,it has brought new opportunities to China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation.How to take this initiative as an opportunity to increase the scale and scope of Economic and trade cooperation between China and Mongolia,so as to strengthen the economic cooperation between the two countries,expand the degree of openness between the two countries and promote sustainable economic development has become an important research topic.From a theoretical point of view,this can not only expand and improve the research on economic and trade cooperation,but also enrich and improve the theory of international trade;From a practical point of view,this is not only conducive to strengthening communication and exchanges between the two countries,but also promotes the improvement of the level of cooperation between the two countries and ultimately achieves common development.Therefore,this paper takes “the Belt and Road” Initiative as the background,closely focuses on the main line of China Mongolia Economic and trade cooperation,and deeply studies the practical issue of China Mongolia Economic and trade cooperation,aiming to enrich and enrich the relevant research on China Mongolia Economic and trade cooperation since “the Belt and Road” Initiative was put forward.As a major participant in “the Belt and Road”Initiative,Mongolia should strengthen economic and trade cooperation with China and promote in-depth cooperation between the two countries to promote rapid economic development.The structure of the paper is as follows: The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background and significance,relevant literature review,research objectives and research methods,research content and framework,research innovations and shortcomings;The second chapter is the theoretical part,mainly from the absolute advantage theory,comparative advantage theory,interdependence theory and regional economic cooperation theory to analyze the situation of China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation;The third chapter is discusses of the development trend of China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation.On the base of the changes and evolution of China Mongolia Economic and trade cooperation mechanism and the existing China Mongolia Economic and trade policies,it introduces the contents of the “the Belt and Road”Initiative and the “Grassland Road”Initiative,and focuses on the opportunities brought by the “the Belt and Road” initiative to China Mongolia Economic and trade cooperation.The fourth chapter is an analysis of the comparative advantages and influencing factors of China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation.Firstly,analyzed the comparative advantages of China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation,and then analyzed the influencing factors of China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation from the aspects of policy factors,legally factors,international environmental factors,social factors and economic factors;The fifth chapter is an empirical analysis of the influencing factors of China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation.Using the data of China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation from 1978 to 2018,it conducts correlation analysis,time series analysis and unit root test on the influencing factors of China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation under “the Belt and Road”Initiative;The sixth chapter is a case study of China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation projects and analyzes the implementation of the projects from Mongolia and Tianjin Dongjiang Transportation logistics Center project,China Mongolia Cross border Free Trade Zone project,China Mongolia Russia Economic Corridor project;The seventh chapter is the conclusion and suggestion part,respectively from the aspects of China and Mongolia and the cooperation between the China and Mongolia.This paper draws the following conclusions through research:(1)the overall development trend of China Mongolia Economic and trade cooperation is good,which has experienced three stages: initial cooperation,cooperative development and deepening cooperation.(2)China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation is highly complementary,and policy factors,legal environmental factors,international environmental factors,social factors and economic factors have impact on China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation;(3)China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation is facing opportunities and challenges.The projects that have been implemented between the two countries provide an effective reference for future China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation;(4)Through the empirical analysis of the influencing factors of China-Mongolia economic and trade cooperation,it is found that the level of economic development,inflation rate,infrastructure,and total transportation volume have varying degrees of influence on the scale of trade and investment between China and Mongolia,among them,the level of economic development,population size,urbanization level,degree of opening to the outside world,infrastructure construction,and railway transportation mileage have a significant role in promoting the scale of China-Mongolian trade.The industrial structure,import tariffs,and consumer price indexall have negative effects.In addition,the level of economic development,infrastructure,and transportation volume of the two countries have promoted China-Mongolia investment cooperation,but the consumer price index and unemployment rate have hindered it.In summary,this paper based on the existing research,conducted in-depth research on China-Mongolia economic and trade cooperation under “the Belt and Road” Initiative,it not only summarizes the development history,relevant policies,development trends and development opportunities of China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation,but also finds out the problems of China Mongolia economic and trade cooperation through empirical analysis and case studies,it fills the insufficiency of research in related fields and points out the direction for future research.This paper not only expands and enriches relevant research on China Mongolia Economic and trade cooperation in theory,but also tests the mutually beneficial and win-win effect of the “the Belt and Road” Initiative in application,providing policy ideas for China and Mongolia to further expand economic and trade cooperation.
