The purpose of essay is to analyse and excavate the development characteristics of multinational corporations(mainly focus on China)since 2001.In addition,it will offer the strategic reference for the feature analysis of overseas operation and development of Chinese multinational corporation.Moreover,through the correlation test between list and data of top 100 multinational corporations in China and the data of foreign direct investment.In the end,case analysis of the typical industries and investment of multinational corporations and management behaviour.As a result that there are four main distinctive characteristics of Chinese multinational corporation.1.Practice tests show that economic growth provides strong support for the expansion of overseas investment of multinational corporations in China.The national strategy in china provides a good platform for multinationals to go abroad.2.As the overseas operation scale of multinational corporations in our country continues to expand,Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs)are becoming more and more active,but the overall cross-country index is far below the world standard.The large multinational corporations in our country still depend mainly on domestic operation and market.Compared with western country,there is a gap betweenChina and developed countries in core competitiveness such as business philosophy.The part of an enterprise's outward investment behaviour is for non-production purposes and also limits the overall competitiveness.3.Multinational corporations is highly concentrate in China,while the development of them reflects the distinct national “preference." Multinational corporations have shown their national interest and national will.The ways to achieve this include the operation of state-owned enterprises and the support or restriction of a national policy on an industry.Chinese multinational corporations should fully consider this and take the initiative to adapt.4.The multinational corporations in China have anti-classical theory of foreign investment behaviour,reflecting the dynamic development of new perspectives.The traditional theory of outward investment perspective from the perspective of production efficiency alternative,while ignoring the needs of business development for the powerful choice of foreign investment.Multinational corporations in China choose cross-border mergers and acquisitions and other means of investment is reflected in a business perspective on the development.At the same time,multinational corporations in our country also need to consider the limitations of the present-day investment mode.
