An Empirical Study On The Needs Of The Elderly In Shanghai Public Institutions

With the rapid development of economy and technology,people's material life level has been significantly improved,at the same time due to changes in the health sector and the progress of people's ideas,promote the sharp decline greatly increased life expectancy and the birth rate of the population,human entered the low birth rate,low mortality rate and aging.The increasing scale of the elderly population and the speed of aging of the population have brought a series of problems to the economic development and social development.As the first elderly area in Shanghai,the natural growth rate of population has been increasing negatively since 1993.It has caused widespread concern in the whole society about the problem of aging and the elderly population.Although the family pension is the pension of China's traditional,but with the further development of the society,the family pension function gradually weakening,the government and private pension institutions began to assume responsibility for the maintenance of the elderly.With the change of society,economy,politics and population environment,the government is showing no financial strength in the process of providing social welfare,which leads to the transformation of welfare diversity.Because of the diversification of the demand for the aged,the low efficiency of the government institutions and the too many idle funds in the society,the advantages of the private pension institutions have become increasingly prominent.Because the development of private pension institutions in China is not yet mature.Therefore,from the perspective of demand,this article takes the elderly in Shanghai's 17 districts over 60 years old as the object of investigation.Through the analysis of the satisfaction of the elderly who have been in the private institutions and the purchase intention of the elderly who are not in the private sector,we can get the real demand of the elderly for the pension institutions.The main research methods through the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis,qualitative analysis first from four aspects of population,economy,society and policy to explore the influencing factors on the private pension institutions of Shanghai city needs,and then the questionnaire data,quantitative analysis under different conditions of the elderly needs of private pension institutions.The Logistic model showed that "age","Bachelor degree ","income","number of children","the current living environment is very dissatisfied","agency fees","family harmony(tradition)" has a significant correlation between the 7 factors of private pension institutions demand.And in view of these seven factors,combined with the population situation of the past years in Shanghai,the demand for the pension of private institutions is predicted.The prediction results show that: In recent years,there is a large difference between the demand and supply of the aged in private institutions,but with the passage of time,under the influence of each factor,the difference between them is getting smaller and smaller.In 2017,private pension institutions can provide 66435 beds for the elderly,the actual demand of private pension agency beds is 40900,but by 2026,private pension institutions can provide with 83743 beds,the elderly actual demand of Private Institutions Pension beds is 83300.Finally,the existing problems of the private institutions in Shanghai are also discussed.Put forward the following suggestions: the government should increase policy support for private pension institutions;the government should promote a medicine;the government should increase the elderly to guide efforts to eliminate prejudice;improve nursing staff's quality and professional level;institutions should increase publicity,increase its visibility.Therefore,To a greater extent,to meet the multi-level and multi-dimensional needs of the elderly,it can also promote the development of the private institutions for the aged better and faster.
