A Study Of Nostalgia Experience In Tourism Field

With the development of social modernization and the process of urbanization,people's material life has been improved unprecedentedly,but it also makes our lives deeply dislocation with the past.The absence of the traditional values of mankind makes us want to return from the single-family,non-reciprocal units to the neighbors chatting homely courtyard,the deterioration of the natural environment makes us want to return from the noise and pollution modern city to a countryside far away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy a quiet,coupled with the inherent thoughts of each person's homesickness,nostalgic phenomenon increasingly prevalent in the rapid development of modern society.When People are living more and more rich they collective "look back",began to miss the old time.Childhood playmates,the memories of students,the landscape of hometown,the beauty of childhood or even that era,that thing,that person all the time affects our hearts.Triggered People to pursue spiritual roots,or the essence of life,or the source of art,or the search for themselves.Nostalgia as a kind of social phenomenon which can not be ignored,as a strong tourist motive,forcing us to have a deeper exploration of it.The author selected nostalgic experience as the theme,classified and summarized the related literature.Nostalgic tourists were used as the research object,and AnRen ancient town was used as a case place to investigate the nostalgic experience of tourists in the tourist field.Firstly,the author makes a relatively complete literature review on the research achievements of nostalgia psychology.From the linguistic structure of nostalgia to the pathologic interpretation of nostalgia to the bittersweet emotional experience of nostalgia to explore the concept of nostalgia.Then the author according to the research of the scholars,summarizes the types of nostalgia,nostalgic triggering.and the related research of nostalgia in Tourism,including the concept of nostalgic tourism.the relation of nostalgia and tourism motivation,the influence factors of nostalgia,the relation of nostalgia and tourism development,and so on.From the perspective of psychology,nostalgia as a kind of individual personality psychological characteristics,has a wide influence on the tourist's nostalgic experience;From the sociological point of view,social identity and personal identity theory,social development and change factors affect the formation mechanism and behavior of tourists' nostalgia.The literature provides a theoretical basis for studying the nostalgic experience of tourists.Next the author take AnRen ancient town as a case,through qualitative analysis of the online travel notes and other textual data and quantitative analysis of the field survey to investigate AnRen ancient town tourists experience of nostalgia.First of all,this study systematically collected 58 online travel notes of AnRen ancient town were encoded step by step,and obtained the analysis result of nostalgia motivation,nostalgic environment,nostalgic content and nostalgic experience of nostalgia tourists in AnRen ancient town.Personal attributes,nostalgia tendency and nostalgia motivation are the individual influencing factors,nostalgia environment as scenic spot influencing factors,nostalgic content as an intermediary variable,nostalgic experience as a result.And constructs the basic theoretical framework of this study,and puts forward the corresponding hypothesis according to the assistant analysis result of grounded theory.Then the author carries on the mathematical statistics analysis to the data collected in the field questionnaire,mainly verifies the relationship between the nostalgic environment,the nostalgic content perception,the nostalgic experience quality.And the relationship of the demographic variable,the nostalgic tendency and the nostalgic motive with the three variable.Through the descriptive statistics,correlation analysis,factor analysis,regression analysis,reliability and validity analysis,get the relationship between variables some corresponding conclusions(1)The result from qualitative analysis based on grounded theory reveal that:?The types of tourist motivation are abundant,which can be divided into five categories:escaping and relaxing.seeking and curiosity,"homing" experience,contrasting and reflection,self identification;These five types can be divided into three levels:Regression nostalgia,reflective nostalgia and identity nostalgia.The nostalgic environment can be divided into the historical environment and leisure environment.Nostalgic content is divided into personal nostalgia and collective nostalgia,nostalgic experience is divided into nostalgic perception experience,nostalgic emotional experience and nostalgic reflection experience.? It is presumed that the nostalgic experience of nostalgic tourists is influenced by factors such as scenic environment factors,nostalgic content perception factors and personality traits.Nostalgia environment and nostalgic content factors play an important role in the nostalgia experience of tourists.(2)The results of empirical research show that:?There are differences in the degree of nostalgia experience aroused by different types of nostalgia environment,and they have different influences on different nostalgia experiences.Historical environment such as antiquities,ancient buildings and Museum museums are more likely to have direct sensory stimuli for nostalgic tourists,causing nostalgic perception experience,triggering nostalgia tourists' perception of the collective nostalgic content.Leisure environment,such as folk customs and environmental settings,are more likely to lead to a nostalgic emotional experience nostalgic reflection experience,triggering nostalgia tourists' perception of the personal nostalgic content.?The different content of nostalgia perceived by the nostalgic tourists influences the tourists' different nostalgic experiences.Nostalgic feelings are mainly composed of personal emotion and social emotion,nostalgic emotional experience is influenced by personal nostalgia and collective nostalgia common action,and their influence degree is not very different.Nostalgic reflection experience is mainly affected by the collective nostalgia,mainly from the reflection of nostalgia tourists on society.?Nostalgic motivation adjusted the tourists'Nostalgia and experience quality,and the demographic variables have no significant impact on the nostalgic experience except the age factor.The nostalgic tourists have different expectations for their nostalgic experiences from different motivation.thus affecting their quality of nostalgic experience,which has the most obvious impact on the nostalgic reflection experience.From the age point of view.the older the tourists,the higher the quality of their nostalgic experience.Different nostalgia environment have a different emphasis on the nostalgic content perception and nostalgia experience of tourists.Historical environment can be perceived collective nostalgia,affecting the tourists of nostalgic perception experience and reflection experience,leisure environment can lead to more nostalgic perception of the individual,affecting tourists' nostalgia emotional experience.But no matter what kind of nostalgic environment,the main reason for improving the quality of nostalgic experience lies in the construction of nostalgic environment.People need the nostalgic objects to make their own direct sensory stimulation,also need some situations to evoke the deep feelings of nostalgia.The results provide a deeper theoretical basis for the study of public nostalgia experience,and provide a reference for the development and design of nostalgic tourism products.The present study only reveals a part of the nostalgic experience in tourism,and there are still a lot of problems that need to be improved in later studies.Future research can be combined with nostalgic emotional characteristics,focus on a class of nostalgic environment,understand the nostalgic tourism from a more perspective.
