Bank of Ganzhou,a commercial bank located in Jiangxi Province,has been developing rapidly within last few decades and makes great contributions to local economic development.Its incentive system has contributed much to the bank's development but shows sign of being obsolete.This paper studies the bank's incentive system in a theory framework established with three incentive theory including Needs-Hierarchy Theory,hygiene-motivational factors and Expectancy Theory.In empirical research,the paper breaks the tradition of referring to data processed and revealed by bank and creatively adopt the credit data of productive enterprises to reflect the operational performance of each position.In addition,it makes a quantitative research on the effect of incentive regulations on each position.The research shows that the incentive system is generally effective except for some outdated indexes in the appraisal system for management level and risk-control position.Then,the paper explores the reasons and put forward respective advises including strengthening legal person mechanism,implementing equity motivation,improving incentive mechanism for risk-control positions and internal incentive appraisal and importing talents.The research will be instructive in building a benign competition environment for employees in the bank and cultivate talents.
