Research The Key Success Factors Of R&D Projects In The Small And Micro Enterprises

In the course of the society's fast economic growth,the small and Micro enterprise(SME)which is the most vitality on national economic development faces on the big stress from survival and competition.The companies acquire the advantage competition ability depending on continuously research and development(R&D)project.Unfortunately,R&D project success rate is low.So the companies have to perform superior project management skills for the opportunity for success.The enterprises are running business and increase economic profit with succeed R&D projects which create the competitive product.Initiation,planning,execution,monitoring and ending are the 5 phases of project life cycle.Each of phase's relation is closely linked.If the key activates in phase could under the control,it will be enhance the R&D project success rate.This reaches,according to the 5 phases of project life cycle and retrospective on the domestic and foreign literature,find out the each phase of Key success factors(KSF).According the expert conversations,this research builds the Hierarchical structure.Those KSF is 4 fields which are team building,communications,production and technological process.This research makes a survey with experts who are from the SME.According the calculate survey results by AHP to find out the KSF of R&D project management.Depends on the result of survey,in the main architecture,the ?Planning? is the most important phase of R&D project which weighting is 0.322.The second is ?execution? which weighting is 0.273.The third important factors is ?initiation? which weighting is 0.182.For the ?closing? weighting is 0.074.This rank means that the ?planning? is the most critical factor in the R&D project.As for the secondary architecture,the results shows that the weighting of ?the fully expressed of customer requirements? is 0.479.And the holistic weighting is 0.154 which is the most important key performance indicator comparing to the others.In the execution phase,the ?project manager's communication ability? weighting is 0.45,and in the overall weighting is 0.123.So the ?project manager's communication ability? is number Two.In the initiation phase,the weighting of ?senior leadership support ?is 0.438,and in the overall weighting is 0.08.It shows the third important factor comparing to the other key performance indicators.Using the data analysis,it has the good performance on two projects in SME.And the result is as the guidance and rectification in SME.It can verify from three points:1)Improve the R&D project success rate and provide the necessary steps and tools for R&D project.2)In the R&D process,it is timely the detecting the problems,timely the solving the problem,and reducing the waste of resources.3)Effective communication and targeted management,it makes good performance on customer's satisfaction and the foundation of subsequent cooperation.Through the verification cases,the conclusions of this research can be used as an effective daily management method for R&D projects.Finally,this research is aiming to provide a future reference of R&D project for enhancing the success rate.
