Research On ERP Success Evaluation Based On Business Targets

The information technology has advanced by leaps and bounds and caused a new Industrial Revolution. Enterprise informationization becomes enterprise's trend in the world. Information technology and advanced thought of management perfect enormous utility that ERP had of combination of thought already prove by China and foreign countries enterprises. ERP system, as a kind of modern management of information systems, has become one of a most important means for enterprises to get competiton advantage.The ERP systems have been widely used by enterprises; however, how to build the ERP systems successfully has always a puzzle which warrying the busyness orgnizations for a long time. Implement case according to statistics, domestic ERP can reach enterprise's expectation are fewer than 10%. Enterprises urgently need a perfect ERP success evaluation theory to direct their ERP systems construction. After reviewed the studies on ERP success evaluation made by Chinese and foreign researchers, wu found that as a theory system ERP success evaluation has not been perfect, and the whole theoretical system of ERP success evaluation has not yet been shaped. Consider ERP system is a complicated social technology system, we can realize the evaluation on ERP success is not a simple problem of technology project assessment, but a complitical social course. The traditional evaluation systems based on the technology and economic theory are not fit for the evaluation of the ERP project success.
