Research On The Influence Of FDI On The Technological Innovation Efficiency Of China’s Equipment Manufacturing Industry

As the core of the country’s industrial foundation,the development of equipment manufacturing industry is of great significance to China’s industrial structure and economic structure.At present,the comprehensive strength of China’s equipment manufacturing industry has leapt to the forefront of the world,technological innovation capability is also rising,but because of the innovation path mainly depends on the introduction of technology,coupled with the slow absorption,making China’s equipment manufacturing industry and developed countries still exist gap Big but not strong is still the main problem.Foreign direct investment as a collection of technology,management,human capital and financial capital has an important impact on the technological innovation of the host country.At present,foreign direct investment has big contribution to China’s employment,export and industrial upgrading.China has become a popular country of foreign direct investment in the world.One of the most controversial topics is whether foreign investment has an impact on the technological innovation efficiency of China’s equipment manufacturing industry.This paper starts from the theoretical level,analyzes the specific path and concrete mechanism of foreign investment influencing the efficiency of technological innovation in China’s equipment manufacturing industry.And then use the DEA-Malmquist index algorithm to measure the technological innovation efficiency of the equipment manufacturing industry in 30 provinces in China.It is found that the efficiency of technological innovation in China’s equipment manufacturing industry is effective in the period from 2005 to 2014.Among them,the efficiency of technological innovation in the eastern region is mainly due to the improvement of technological efficiency,and the efficiency of technological innovation in the central and western regions is mainly due to the influence of technological progress.Then,through the panel data of equipment manufacturing industry in 30 provincesduring 2005 and 2014,the regression model of total factor productivity and foreign investment,enterprise scale,materialcapital and human capital was constructed,analysing the influence of foreign investment on the technological innovation efficiency of China’s equipment manufacturing industry,and makes a comparative analysis of Liaoning Province and Jiangsu Province.The return shows that foreign investment,enterprise scale and material capital have a positive impact on the technological innovation efficiency of China’s equipment manufacturing industry,and human capital has a negative impact.Finally,according to the regression results,this paper puts forward relevant policy suggestion.
