Research On The Influence Of Import Complexity Of Producer Services On Export Complexity

The trend of division of labor in the global market will enable the production process of the first and two industries to cooperate from point to side.Similarly,the service industry in such a deepening context,its production links is gradually being fragmented.The production of services as an input,in addition to the manufacturing industry,it is also in the service industry throughout the whole production process,and the introduction of more specialized human capital,technology and knowledge capital services,to a certain extent,accelerate the joint development of the two or three industry;in addition,the production of services as a high-end service industry,technological content and higher value-added products in the value chain position,plays an important role in a country's international competitiveness.In the field of international trade,the service products of the developed countries take the leading position in the trade competition because of its advanced information that other countries can learn from and absorb.This shows that the quality of service products or technological advantages play a huge role in enhancing the competitiveness of a country.With producer service trade becoming the main driving force of Global trade development,more and more scholars focus on the technology level of producer service trade,import and export.The characteristics of producer service inputs and the embodiment of national competitiveness based on the fact,this article attempts from the producer services import complexity point of view to study the complexity of the influence on its export,through the production service technology to optimize their import complexity to improve export technology level,increase the international competitiveness of the industry,the it has profound theoretical and practical significance.First of all,this paper has reviewed the research findings of others' studies,summarized the related concepts of trade in producer services and product complexity indicators,and theoretical analyzed how the productive service trade import complexity effects export complexity.Mainly from the technology spillover effect,product mix effect,factor recombination effect and import imitation competition effect four aspects have explored the influence mechanism and the way of action.The results show that the import complexity of producer services can improve the export complexity.In order to better observe the course of the development of producer services trade,this paper analyzes its worldwide import and export.And according to the "Product Specifications-PRDOY Index" designed by Hausmann et al,this paper measures the complexity of export of producer services in selected sample countries.The results show that all countries have significantly increased in the complexity of export of producer services,but there is a certain gap between our country and other countries.Secondly,in the empirical part,this paper use the simple OLS and the dynamic panel method respectively to conduct regression analysis on the cross-country data of 40 countries from 2000 to 2013.From the overall sample results,the import of productive service complexity on export sophistication have promoted and maintain stability,select the other control variables.The level of economic development,foreign direct investment,human capital accumulation and institutional efficiency of productive service exports has a positive effect in complexity.In the sub sample regression model further,this paper finds that the import of productive service complexity of the core variables in developed and developing countries in the two groups of sample regression still export complexity has significant positive effect.The control variables influence among different samples the effect of different economic development level of productive service trade technology level has positive effect in developed countries,and the development of national China production service export technical level have no significant negative effect;foreign direct investment,human capital and institutional efficiency the improvement in can play a significant role in developing countries.Finally,combining the conclusions of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,the following countermeasures and suggestions are made in this paper: 1.To promote service trade,reduce trade barriers,improve the service quality of imported production,played a positive role in the import of productive service complexity on export technology upgrading;2.Pay attention to human capital and scientific innovation,increase input in education and protect research and development;3.improve the investment structure,and effectively guide foreign capital into the service sector;4.optimize the industrial layout,strengthen its production service industry development level;5.establish and perfect the legal system,create a fair and favorable business environment.
