| With the rapid development of economic and information globalization,as an important part of supply chain management,inventory management has become an important content and foundation for stable production and operation of enterprises,reducing business operating costs,improving competitive ability,and responding to market quickly and flexibly.At the same time,the theory of project management has been taken into general management.Project-oriented management is not only the need of new market,but also an important model for enterprise transformation.Therefore,inventory management also faces the need for project-oriented and is turning into project-oriented inventory managementAs a fledgling small and medium-sized trade enterprise,Dalian Wan Yiying trade co.,LTD is mainly engaged in sales of hotel supplies,clothing and building materials.With the natural geography and geographical advantage,own large warehouse and transport vehicles,this company is active in the market and make effort to occupy a place in the rapidly growing economy.In early 2014,the company reached a cooperation with Xin Sheng hotel group to provide relevant products and services for the construction of 10 new stores in the group.This not only brings a large number of business orders to Da Lian Wan Yiying trade co.,LTD,but also becomes the opportunity for project transformation.But due to the limitation of late staring,scale and the dynamic changes of the internal and external environment,this company is a lack of experience in stock management,system,tools,and knows little about project management.Although the company revenues are increasing,inventory costs are still high,the gross margin is low,stocks occupy a large number of liquidity and the needs of customers can't be responded in time.Under this situation,Dalian Wan Yiying trade co.,LTD is considering how to take full advantage of its own advantages,carry out the effective project-oriented inventory management,ensure the stability and flexibility of product transportation and storage,effectively control and reduce the inventory cost,and improve enterprise profitability.This paper takes Dalian Wan Yiying trade co.,LTD as the research object,and studies the domestic and foreign literature about inventory management.Based on this,we learnt and grasped the present situation of the company's inventory management from the aspects about the company product inventory management processes and inventory status,and found this company has a continued high levels of inventory,low velocity and product gross margin.Then we take the project-oriented and inventory management theory as a basis to analyze the internal cause of the current problems,and found that the lack of project-oriented management concept and system,the insufficient of inventory management and management information are the main reasons.Aiming at the above problems and reasons,this paper,guided by the theory,first clear the goals and preliminary scheme of project-oriented inventory management.And according to these,we put forward strategies and measures for improving the present situation of inventory management,such as the reconstruction of the company's organizational structure and system,re-classification of current inventory products and strategies designing,further strengthening the company's own inventory management expertise and the establishment of comprehensive performance appraisal system and information construction of inventory management.This study aims to put forward systematic,specific and comprehensive strategies and measures to improve the enterprise project-oriented inventory management,which takes the basis of inventory and project-oriented management theories and is combined closely with the problems and situation of Dalian Wan Yiying trade co.,LTD.We hope that this could provide certain guidance and support for enterprise management activities and help it to better improve their own inventory management system and improve its market competition ability. |
