In recent years, the proportion of service trade in the world’s trade share has gradually increased, and it has gradually become an indispensable part of national trade, playing an increasingly important role in modern international trade. With the increase of the degree of openness in the Chinese market economy, the degree of integration of China into the world economy has increased, and the share of service trade has also gradually increased.Although the development of China’s service trade is later than that of many developed countries,it is growing rapidly. However,it cannot be overlooked that the technical level of China’s service trade exports is low.The technical structure of service trade exports is dominated by low-and medium-technology service products, and the proportion of high-tech services is very low. This state has not been optimized for a long time.China’s trade in services has increased significantly, but the increase in the technological complexity of exports of service trade and the increase in total trade in services have been severely out of step. The technical structure of service trade exports is still at the level of low-end and mid-to low-end structures. The technical structure of China’s trade in services shows that services in China The misplaced relationship between trade "quality" and "quantity" only focuses on quantity and ignores quality issues.China’s service trade may present the illusion of comparative advantage.Only by improving the technical level of China’s service trade exports and upgrading the export structure of low-tech levels can we really play the role of service trade in promoting the development of China’s economy. To improve the quality of China’s service trade,we need to have a certain understanding of China’s service trade export technology level, export technology structure and its evolution. At the same time,we must also find out the factors that affect the changes in service trade export technology levels and the mechanism of action.First, this article explains the sources of measurement methods for technical complexity of service trade exports.Based on this,it uses service trade related data from 36 countries or regions from 2000 to 2016 to calculate service trade at the product level and at the national level.Export technical complexity level.Based on this data,we analyze the changes in the technical complexity of China’s service tradeexports, and conduct a comparative study on the technical complexity of service trade exports.Second, the service trade products are divided into three levels, and the technical structure of service trade exports from the 36 countries or regions from2000 to 2016 is calculated. The technical structure and evolution of service trade exports to China and many other economies in the world are calculated.Comparative analysis of the situation. The analysis shows that there is a large gap between the technical complexity of China’s export of service trade and the average level of the world and developed countries, which is close to the average level of developing countries, and the simultaneous increase in the technical complexity of China’s service trade exports between China and the world. The technical level of service trade exports is still at a low technological level, and the optimization of the distribution of export technology structures is far lower than the average level of the world and developed countries.Even if compared with India and Brazil, these two developing countries do not have an advantage but China’s service trade The trend of export technology structure being optimized at home is obvious.Thirdly, based on past theoretical research, this paper uses the seven factors of per capital GDP,openness of service trade, service trade openness, human capital, labor force, foreign direct investment stock, and R&D investment as explanatory variables, and uses measurement methods to construct theoretical models. To explore the factors that affect the technical complexity of service exports and the extent of their effects. This paper uses data from 36 countries from 2000 to 2015 to analyze the panel data model, and uses China’s service trade data from 2000 to 2015 to perform a drey correlation analysis.Discover differences that are in line with China’s special national conditions. The analysis shows that in the world environment, the biggest factor affecting the technical level of service trade exports is R&D investment, but for China, the largest degree of correlation with the technical complexity of service trade exports is the labor force, which is consistent with China’s economic dependence on demographic dividends.Get the rapid development of historical facts.Fourth, combining the analysis of the article with the reality of China, this article believes that to improve the technical level of China’s service trade exports and promote the optimization of the technical structure of China’s service exports,we must continue to exert the role of the Chinese labor force in order to maintain the trade in low-and medium-technology services. On the other hand,it should actively approach thedevelopment path of developed countries, increase investment in R&D,increase the opening level of service trade, and pay attention to the accumulation of human capital.
