As part of the enterprise strategy,the competitive strategy of an enterprise refers to the plan and action of guiding and managing the strategic business plans under the constraints of the overall strategy.The core problems to be solved in the enterprise competitive strategy are the relationships between the market demand,the competitor product and the enterprise product to maintain the competitive advantage of the product in the market.CH Limited by Share Ltd is a large state-owned enterprise listed in China.Its main commercial fields are engineering construction and chemical production.It is the leading production and engineering contractor in China's chemical industry,and is also the most important coal chemical R & D and production enterprise in the world.At present,China's economic growth gradually transformed from high speed growth to high quality growth,and is faced with challenges such as capacity clearance and the transformation of economic structure.On the other hand the supply side reforms and "The Belt and Road" strategy has brought great opportunities to CH company.Thus to stand out from the industry at this critical moment,CH company requires an adjustment on many aspects: capital,strategy,organization,operation,management,product so as to maximize its potential on integration of resources,strategic upgrading and efficiency improvement.The present thesis sorted out the theories of strategic management for CH company,and develops a competitive strategy suitable for the company in P country.First of all,the external environment of CH company was evaluated via the PEST model,and Potter's five force competition model was used to analyze the industry environment of CH company.Secondly,the resources and capabilities of the CH company were determined by SWOT analysis.The advantages and disadvantages,opportunities and threats were detailed.Finally,according to the CH company's internal employees,the QSPM matrix as made by questionnaire survey,and the selection of the competitive strategy of CH company was also analyzed.It is considered that the strategy of product differentiation,the horizontal integration strategy and the multi-nation center strategy should be selected as the competitive strategy.The strategy can be achieved by standardizing the internal management,reducing the management costs,increasing research and development fees to boost the product differentiation.Moreover,by strengthening horizontal mergers and acquisitions,it is able to integrate good resources in the industry.Based on these factors,to ensure the implementation of the competitive strategy of CH company,remolding the organization structure of the enterprise,deepening the enterprise culture,strengthening the integration of enterprise information and data resources,improving the financial management ability,opening up the vision of the enterprise management,perfecting the construction of the talent team,and strengthening the integration of the external resources of the enterprise are required.Overall,this thesis studies and analyzes the competitive strategy of CH Limited by Share Ltd using various theories and strategic modeling tools,which is an instructive reference for the competitive strategy selection of large scale state-owned enterprises in chemical engineering industry.
