Career adaptability is the key to successful career. The “Millennial generation employees” pointed out that the group of employees borned after the 1980 s was in the era of national reform and opening up,and has now become the mainstay of economic and social development. The unique personality of this group collides with the background of growth, and it is very easy to fall into career dilemma.Accurately grasping the situation of career adaptation of this group, then effectively improving the adaptability is significant and essential for their career development and organizational stability. In recent years, career adaptability has become a hot topic for scholars at home and abroad. However, most of these studies focus on student groups.Worse still, there is less research on employees and much fewer is related to interventions.Based on current situation, this study took millennial generation(“80s” and “90s”employees)as subjects, investigated the status of their career adaptability, and selected some participants to conduct career adaptation intervention research. The study is divided into two parts.First part,we distributed 583 copies of“ Career Adaptation Scale ” to employees of millennial generation employees companies from state-owned enterprises, foreign companies, and private enterprises, and as results, collected 471 copies to understand the current situation of the career adaptability of millennial generation employees.Second part,40 employees were selected as subjects and divided into four groups.Among them,20 people from different companies were randomly divided into experimental group1 and comparison group 1.The experimental group took 8 group counseling.20 people from one company were randomly divided into experimental group 2 and comparison group 2,and a one-time focused intervention was performed. The two control groups were under the state of natural learning. After the intervention was over,40 subjects were immediately tested with the “Career adaptability scale” and postponed test after the former one(one month after the intervention was completed). And to follow up the effectiveness and results for intervention plan. Conclusions as follows:(1)The career adaptability of the new generation of corporate employees isunder the middle-to-upper level. There are significant differences in the four demographic variables of education, gender, job level, and job type, but the level of career concern remains to be further improved.(2)Eight group counseling sessions and one focused intervention can improve the career adaptability of the new generation of corporate employees and are continuous.Except for the dimension of career concern, the 8 group counseling had significantly much resilience than the one-time focused intervention, and there was no significant difference between the two intervention methods in other dimensions and total scores. For individuals and organizations, which are difficult to receive long-term group counseling,a focused intervention program can be used.
