As an important part of bulk grain terminal,the utilization ratio of silo has an important influence on throughput,service level and other aspects of the whole bulk grain terminal.The silo assignment scheme will directly affect the utilization ratio of silos,thereby affecting the operation performance of bulk grain terminals.Therefore,silo assignment has become an issue of great concern to the academic circles and the bulk grain terminals.I found it in the practice of bulk grain wharf in Dalian Port,which is silo assignment mostly depends on manager's experience arrangement.However,when the number of customers is large,the variety of bulk grain and the total amount of bulk grain are large,the specifications of silos are different and the quantity is large,silo assignment is complicated.Silo allocation by experience is easy to lead to low utilization of silo and low work efficiency.It is not conducive to the long-term development of bulk grain terminal company.First of all,this paper focuses on the whole operation process of a grain wharf from receiving customer needs,carrying out silos,storing,and unloading the warehouse,the silo assignment model is established by taking the minimum maintenance cost of the bulk grain wharf as the target.Finally,the optimization assignment scheme is solved by using LINGO software and an example.The scheme is obviously superior to the traditional assignment scheme in silo utilization,the feasibility of the model is verified,some suggestions on how to assign silos are put forward.
