Research On Relationship Between Transportation And Regional Economic Development In The View Of Provincial Perspective In China

Transportation,which is an important guarantee and essential factor for promoting one country's economy and social development,is the foundation of the national economy.Transportation is not only the driving force of economic development but also the result of economic development,which ultimately serves economic development.The economic development is always accompanied by the development of transportation.Their coordination is very important for steady development of the national economy.It is an important topic to discuss the coordination between transportation and economy,and the impact of coordination degree on economic development.Firstly,based on the present situation of domestic and overseas about the relationship between transportation and economic development,the research content and framework are put forword;Secondly,relevant theories on relationship between transportation and economic development are sort out,and the universal application of coordination models are introduced in detail,which have laid a solid theoretical foundation for coordination mechanism analysis and model building;Thirdly,the mechanism of coordinated development of transportation and economy is analyzed in depth.On the basis of comprehensive analysis of correlation degree model,entropy weight constraint model and coordination degree calculation model,G-E-DEA coordination model is constructed to analyze the coordination degree between transportation and economy.Based on the two aspects of positive promotion and negative inhibition of transportation and economic development,the grey relational model is improved,and relationship model of G-C is constructed to analyze the coordination degree's influence on economic development.At the end,31 provinces in China are taken as research objects,and the relationship between transportation and economic development is empirically studied by using relevant data of 2000-2015.The empirical analysis of coordination between transportation and economy shows that coordination degree of transportation and economy in 30 provinces increases firstly and then decreases.The highest point appeared between 2007 and 2012.From 2000 to 2015,coordination level of 31 provinces is between 0.6-0.9.The empirical analysis of relationship between coordination degree and economic development shows that correlation coefficients of coordination degree and economic growth rate are positive in 31 administrative regions in China,and the correlation coefficients of 23 provinces are concentrated between 0.5-0.9,which indicates that the promotion of coordination degree plays a significant role in promoting economic development.
